Among the recent DLCs of Crimson Desert, there are some new items that can be discovered and obtained, including underwater armor, pirate outfits, and various other pieces of unique gear. They may either be located in underwater caves or treasure chests buried somewhere, or they could be found on islands and among the remains of sunken ships. But first, you’ll need to get a ship. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find all 12 underwater armor and pirate gear pieces.
All 12 Underwater Armor & Pirate Armor Locations
The most recent update to The Crimson Desert features several underwater armor skins and pirate skins for different characters. However, you will be able to obtain these skins even before you have your own ship, although some places may require you to go very deep underwater.
Sea Reaver Outfit (Oongka Pirate)

The Sea Reaver Set is found in the treasure chest located within the underwater cave in the Coral Sea. This cave is situated to the northwest of Carcano Island and to the south of Delesyia. Locate the cave using the underwater detection tool of your ship. When you have arrived at the marked location, go underwater and swim down to the seabed.

Look for the entrance to the cave on the eastern side of the rocks. Enter the underwater tunnel and continue until you reach a point from where you can emerge out of the water. You will find a treasure chest here containing the Sea Reaver’s Hat and Sea Reaver’s Combat Suit.
Stormlord Combat Suit (Damiane Pirate)

You should begin by going to the Rocky Reef zone at Carcano Island, located south of Delesyia. Find the easternmost island and take note of its southernmost part to find the location of the cave, which lies in the vicinity and is shaped like an L route among the islands.

From there, you should disembark from your ship and go underwater. You will need to descend to the bottom of the sea, where you will see a rock formation in the shape of a statue right in front of the cave.
Put a marker on your map close to the rock formation to guide yourself in finding the cave easily. From inside the cave, you should go to the left, and you will find a chest containing the Stormlord Combat Suit and Stormlord Hat.
Forsaken Oath Plate Helm

The Forsaken Oath Plate Helm can be obtained from a chest found in the Great Hydrothermal Vents, near Nirakan Island, at the northern end of the Great Hydrothermal Vents, between Bergel and Nirakan Island. Go to the northern end of the Great Hydrothermal Vents as indicated on the map. The chest can be found near Nirakan Island; hence, the island should serve as a guide during the underwater exploration.

Navigate underwater until reaching a depth of about 207 meters, where you will see the hydrothermal vents. Next to one of the vents, there is a stone monolith, and at the base of the monolith, there is a buried chest that has been hidden under the rocks. In order to open the chest, the rocks must be cleared using a pickaxe, drill, or Force Palm. Once the rocks are removed, open the chest to collect the Forsaken Oath Plate Helm.
Sunken Azuretide Plate Armor

The Sunken Azuretide Plate Armor can be found in a treasure chest underwater, south of Phragma Island. You must first travel to the area southwest of Phragma Island, where you can go underwater. When you dive into the water, make sure you dive to around 43 meters.

Locate a small coral valley underwater on the seabed. The treasure chest is located in this valley, covered by rocks. There will be a faint golden glow indicating the presence of the treasure chest. Once you have located it, you must clear the rocks from the chest so you can access the contents inside. This can be done using a Drill, Pickaxe, or Force Palm. After removing the rocks, open the chest to collect the Sunken Azuretide Plate Armor.
Sunken Azuretide Plate Helm

The Sunken Azuretide Plate Helm is in a treasure chest found in the area of the Great Hydrothermal Vents. In order to locate it, you need to go slightly northwest from the letter H and the letter Y on the map label of the Hydrothermal Vents and then move down into the water towards the bottom.

An alternative marker for finding the item is the location of a shipwreck, which is to the west of the treasure chest. Swim east from the shipwreck towards the stone formations of the crown-type structure. After reaching the formations, destroy the mineral deposit in the middle of it and open the chest.
Forsaken Oath Plate Armor

The Forsaken Oath Plate Armor is buried in a treasure chest that is located amidst the remains of a sunken ship northeast of Ocula Island. Travel northeast of Ocula Island to the position highlighted on the map. After getting there, you need to dive to an approximate depth of 62 meters and find a sunken ship.

The treasure chest containing the Forsaken Oath Plate Armor is buried amidst rocks near the split parts of the wrecked ship. To retrieve the chest, you will have to remove the rocks covering it using a Pickaxe, Drill, or Force Palm. Once the debris is removed, open the chest to collect the Forsaken Oath Plate Armor.
Seahorse Staff

The Seahorse Staff is a unique weapon in Crimson Desert that you can find hidden underwater near Iliya Island.

You will need to explore the ruins beneath the South Sea to locate the chest containing this weapon. Read our guide on “How To Get Seahorse Staff Weapon In Crimson Desert” to know more.
Sunken Azuretide Plate Gloves

To acquire the Sunken Azuretide Plate Gloves, go to the area on the reef that corresponds to the O on the map name of the Coral map. It is near the island south of the map name. Diving into the water, players will notice two tall stone columns with an elevated portion of the seabed north of them.

The chest is located between those two columns, by some blue corals. Players should watch out for these columns, since they will be more visible than the chest itself. Once players locate the chest, mine the golden mineral vein on the chest and open it to get the gloves.
Forsaken Oath Plate Gloves

Forsaken Oath Plate Gloves are located within a treasure chest that is deeply buried underwater, located northwest of Xamaca Island. The items are useful due to the fact that they offer Swim Speed and Max Breath bonuses, allowing players to explore underwater locations more efficiently.

First of all, players need to reach Xamaca Island and move towards its northwest side. Players will know that they are going in the correct direction by noticing the presence of Satyros and Razanui Island near them. As they swim away from the island, players will notice that the seabed is flat and not filled with anything for some time. However, after moving forward, players will find themselves at the location of coral reef formation located at the depth of 125 meters.
Once you reach the coral reef, search for a treasure chest covered in mossy rocks. You can remove the rocks using a Pickaxe, Mining Drill, or Force Palm. After clearing the debris, open the chest to collect the Forsaken Oath Plate Gloves.
Sunken Azuretide Plate Boots

Sunken Azuretide Plate Boots are found in a treasure chest located at the Great Coral Reef. Go underwater and search for the wreck of a broken ship, along with stone golems that can be found around the area. Look out for the center of the wrecked ship, as it has been separated into two different pieces.

Dive down into the gap present between the two pieces of the wrecked ship. The chest will be found covered by mineral deposits, which are the same as the mineral deposits seen on any other underwater chest of armor. Mine the blocks in order to remove them and access the chest.
Forsaken Oath Plate Boots

The Forsaken Oath Plate Boots lie hidden in a treasure chest beneath the waters near a huge coral formation, lying just outside the northern shore of Razanui Island. Like the other items in this armor, the Forsaken Oath Plate Boots have bonuses to Swim Speed and Max Breathing, so they are suitable for underwater exploration.

Head to the upper-left corner of the northern shore of Razanui Island. Here begins your quest to find the underwater treasure chest. Submerge into the waters and search for a huge coral formation that appears near the water’s surface. The huge formation serves as your point of reference.
Swim downwards to the seabed area along the northeastern side of the coral formation. You should see the treasure chest hidden among rocks at the bottom of the coral. Use either the Pickaxe, Mining Drill, or Force Palm to dig through the rocks surrounding the treasure chest. Once the rocks are out of the way, open the treasure chest to get the Forsaken Oath Plate Boots.
Naval Officer Hat

The Naval Officer’s Hat is available at the summit of the highest mountain on Samora Island, which is located in the eastern region of the Pywel’s Great Ocean.

In order to access the summit, you need to fly up using Blackstar. As soon as you get there, jump down and look for a flat stone amidst leaves and stems. The Naval Officer’s Hat is situated on this stone.
Deepwater Carapace Helm

The Deepwater Carapace Helm is hidden inside a treasure chest in Great Ocean’s Scar Cave, located deep underwater. To find it, head toward the area near the E in the Trench map label and use the provided map marker to locate the diving spot. Dive down and follow the glowing jellyfish toward the seabed.

Once you reach the bottom, swim south until you spot the cave entrance. Head inside Great Ocean’s Scar Cave and look for the treasure chest. Open it to collect the Deepwater Carapace Helm. The helmet provides a 2% Swim Speed bonus along with extra oxygen time, making it a useful piece of equipment for underwater exploration.
