In Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, the Chilled status occurs once you have been in the cold climate of Norgan for an extended period of time. This condition slowly drains your stamina, thereby making it difficult for you to move faster and use skills in combat. You can manage this effect by using Heatstones, eating meals at campsites, and equipping thermal gear.
How To Cure Chilled Status Effect
The simplest method of dealing with Chilled status is using Heatstones prior to running out of Stamina. Another way is hiding for a while in order to restore lost Stamina.
Use Heatstones
Among the most dependable methods of safeguarding oneself against the chilling effects of Norgan is through the use of Heatstones. Pack a couple of them before venturing into any snow regions, especially when the phenomenon of Whiteout starts. These can be obtained through exploration, buying from merchants, or crafting.
Eat Meals At Campsites
Cook meat at a campsite to get a temporary shield from the cold. You may also spend some time at a campsite waiting for normal snowstorms to end. This will help you if you have to restore yourself before moving on.
Equip Thermal Relic Gear

Some Relic Gear provides special properties that prevent Chilled from building up. Look for the following bonuses when appraising equipment:
- Full Thermal: Can appear on torso Relic Gear.
- Ice Elemental: Can appear on greaves and provides additional defensive benefits during snowstorms.
These properties are useful for exploring Norgan without constantly relying on consumables.
How To Recover Lost Stamina
If Chilled has already brought down your maximum Stamina, the use of a Heatstone alone cannot help bring back your Stamina. Use a Vitalic Drench for instant recovery or go to an inn. Another method is to keep yourself from the cold and let your maximum Stamina regenerate.
