If you want to summon Gagana in Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen to get its feather and progress further with the mission “The Castle in the Ice,” you will have to head to the place where Gagana is hiding – Gagana’s Grotto and put three lizard corpses on the braziers there. In this guide, we’ll show you how to reach the grotto and summon Gagana so you can move forward with the quest.
How to Start The Castle in the Ice Quest
In order to start the quest called The Castle in the Ice, go back to the main castle where you killed the first dragon in the expansion pack. Find the dragon’s room where the soldiers have already removed the debris preventing access to another door. Enter the door and you will witness a short cutscene. When you are done, take your time to search for some treasure and then climb the stairs ahead.
Use the Elevator to Reach the Lower Area
Keep going into the fort until you find an elevator. You need to raise the elevator with the lever, but at the same time, expect a bunch of enemies to come at you. Beat them all before raising the elevator using the lever once again.
When you are done with that, make sure to activate the lever located on the left side to open the gate. As soon as you get outside, you’ll meet Eir, whom you saw previously during your fight with the dragon. Then you’ll see a short cutscene, and enemies will appear.
Speak With Eir and Follow Her
Following the fight, Eir will request that you follow her. Head towards the giant wall of ice where the path is blocked and listen to Eir’s explanation of what is going on and how she needs two items in order to counter the upcoming challenge: a feather from the Gagana and the Spirit Compass.
As you already have the Spirit Compass, the next step will be to find the Gagana and get its feather. When asked by Eir if you are ready to move on, you may decide either to go right away or take some time to prepare yourself.
Find a Gagana Using the Spirit Compass
Unfold the map and use the Spirit Compass to get into the east side of the region. You have three entry points to reach here, but taking the southern entry point is the simplest way to get inside. Proceed in the direction of the snowy area and follow the yellow compass arrow so that you do not get confused.
You may also refer to your map now and then to confirm if you are going in the correct direction. After reaching your destination, you will come out of the heavy snowstorm and see Gagana’s Grotto. Follow the path and jump across the gap to enter the large arena.
How to Summon Gagana
For summoning Gagana, just look for lizard creatures lurking inside the snow in the region. Kill the lizards, collect their bodies, and put one body in each of the three braziers that are present. Alternatively, you can throw the bodies into the braziers. After placing the three bodies in the braziers, Gagana will spawn, and you can engage in battle with it.
