Arcana System is one of the systems responsible for the development of the characters in AION 2. This system enables players to wear various types of Arcana cards and get benefits from the stats and skill level increases they offer. It is necessary to improve your cards, since the high level of skills affects your fight performance significantly.
Each card is unique by its set and type. The card types determine the skills available on them, while sets give special bonuses and stats. Understanding how these systems work will help you choose the right cards for your build.
Arcana Card Types And Sets
There are different types of Arcana cards, and there is an equipment slot for each of them. So, you can equip Bell, Compass, and Parchment in their corresponding slots. Each type of card features a different pool of skills that can be used.
Some cards are active skill-oriented, some feature passive skills, and there are cards that have both types of skills. In Season 1, it is possible to use four types of cards, although more will likely appear later in the game.
There are not only different types of Arcana cards, but also different sets. As for Season 1, these sets are Primal Vigour and Magic Armour. Each set features its own bonuses and God Stats that the card will have.
So, even if you find two similar Bells with the same available skills, the God Stats of these cards will differ depending on the set that the card belongs to. Thus, a golden Bell from the Primal Vigour set has Justice stats, while a blue one from the Magic Armour set has Destruction stats.
Arcana Card Rarity And Upgrades
Arcana cards have four rarity levels: Grey, Green, Blue, and Gold. Their rarity determines how many skill lines they have when you first obtain them. Gold cards are also highly valued since they have four skill lines from the beginning. But rarity is not the only factor to take into account. It is also necessary to consider the skills present on the card. The Arcana cards can be upgraded by using other cards as sacrifices to obtain card experience. With each level-up, one of the available skills on the card gets a new level randomly.
The maximum number of different skill lines on one card is equal to four. If a Gold card already has four skills on it, then with further upgrades, these skills will get levelled up. That is why it is crucial to find such a card with appropriate skills. If all four skill lines are relevant for you, each upgrade will bring benefit for one of the skills you need.
How To Get Arcana Cards In AION 2
The primary means of obtaining Arcana cards involves running through Transcendence dungeons. Once you complete a Transcendence dungeon, you can claim your reward by opening the reward cube to get several Arcana cards. These dungeons contain four stages, with better card rewards at each stage level up. In early stages, you will mostly earn Grey, Green, and Blue cards; however, in Stage 4, you may get a chance to win Gold cards.
To obtain enough cards with the needed skill lines, you should go to these dungeons several times. Once you have found the Arcana card with good skills, you will be able to enhance it using other Arcana cards. As it may take a lot of time to obtain an Arcana card with four good skill lines, crafting becomes another means.
How To Craft Arcana Cards
The Arcana cards can be created by using the Transmute function from the Arcana menu. In this process, you have to choose a card set, type of the card, and some of the skills that you would like to have on your card. You can see the list of skills that are available for a particular card by choosing the type of the card and then opening the skill list for it. There are different sets of skills for different types of cards. While creating the Gold card, you can choose some skills, but not all.
How To Get Mysterious Crystals
The player must use mysterious crystals to create Arcana Cards. The first method that should be used to earn such crystals is the extraction of unneeded cards. To do that, the player must open the extraction menu and put those unneeded cards there that they wish to sacrifice. While doing that, the extraction progress bar fills, and when it reaches 100%, the player will be able to finish the procedure and receive the mysterious crystals. You can then spend these crystals to craft new Arcana cards with your preferred skills. This gives unwanted cards another use instead of simply letting them pile up in your inventory.
