The DLC for Dark Arisen in Dragon’s Dogma 2 features a new location known as Norgan, which is characterised by hard dungeons, equipment, and dangerous opponents. The player must first learn how to access the DLC and the nature of the challenges they will face. In this guide, we’ll explain how to start the DLC, access the Lost Rites Dungeons, and reach Norgan.
How To Start The Expansion

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Darker Risen expansion adds a new area called Norgan, dungeons, new gear, and more difficult enemies. But the difficulty level of the expansion is very high, so going into it at an early level may hinder your progress.
The players have three options to enter the expansion; these include creating a new character, having a New Game Plus saved game file, and having a high-level character who has not entered the Unmoored World yet in the postgame stage. However, those who have entered the Unmoored World must create a New Game Plus file. They can also fast travel to Vernworth and Bakbattahl anytime.
In order to gain access to the expansion, the player needs to talk to Captain Brant of Vernworth, located in the Stardrop Inn during the night. Two new quests with recommended levels of 20 and 40 will be offered. These are the Lost Rites Dungeons for the level 20 quest, and the Norgan area for the level 40 quest.
Lost Rites Dungeons

The Lost Rites Dungeons feature 12 dungeons, each of which has different conditions you should fulfil before getting into them. They include limitations on your profession as well as limitations on the use of enchantments by both you and your pawns.
You may try conquering the first dungeon when you reach the level of 20 as there are no conditions that would prevent you from entering it. But the enemies themselves might be challenging enough for you to fight them successfully.
To pass the other 11 dungeons, you have to advance more in the main storyline of the base game. The Empowered Gods bane Blade will help you open some doors and some chests with valuable loot inside.
How To Access The Norgan Region

The primary quest to gain access to Norgan leads you there, and the suggested level at which you should start the region in a new file is level 40. Having talked to Captain Brant, you should follow the markers for the quest and start on your way. Alternatively, you can talk to the magistrate, Waltar, to get some additional information on the region, but it might be hard to find him. It is recommended to clear the Lost Rites dungeon first, as you can collect some very rare equipment to prepare yourself, then attempt this level 40 quest.
