One of the best gear sets that you should have in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered is the Wolven Witcher Gear Set. This set consists of swords, armor, gauntlets, pants, and boots, and the diagrams are found in various parts of the game. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find all the Basic, Enhanced, Superior, Mastercrafted, and Grandmaster Wolven Gear diagrams and what you need to craft each piece.

Basic Wolven Armor Set Locations

At level 14, you can start crafting the basic armor set for the Wolf School. You can find all the diagrams for the boots, trouser, armor, and gauntlets within one single chest. The weapons are located in different areas, so you need to explore a bit to get the blueprints for them. The Wolven armor set can be crafted at any blacksmith.

Basic Wolven Steel Sword

The Basic Wolven Steel Sword Diagram can be found in Bastion, west of Kaer Morhen. Enter the fortress ruins through the door on the right when approaching from the east. Once inside, look for the burned rubble directly ahead. The diagram is hidden there. Be careful, as Wraiths may appear in the area if you haven’t completed the The Bastion side quest. To craft it you will need: 

• 1x Leather Strap
• 2x Steel Ingot
• 1x Monster Brain
• 1x Monster Eye

Basic Wolven Silver Sword

The Basic Wolven Silver Sword Diagram is located in the Ruined Watchtower, far north of Kaer Morhen. Enter the ruins through the main gate on the western side and deal with any Wraiths in the area. Then, look for a chest at the base of the tower. The diagram is inside this chest. It is located on the scaffold above the western gate. To craft it you will need: 

• 1x Leather Scrap
• 3x Silver Ingot
• 1x Fifth Essence
• 1x Monster Brain

Basic Wolven Armor

The Basic Wolven Armor Diagrams are found inside the Signal Tower, southwest of Kaer Morhen. However, getting them requires you to reactivate a portal. Start by entering the Signal Tower and opening the chest where the armor diagrams would normally be found. Instead of the diagrams, you’ll find a note explaining how to activate the portal.

The portal is located at the bottom of the ladder inside the tower, facing toward Kaer Morhen. You will notice that one of the crystals needed to activate it is missing. To find the missing crystal, leave the tower through the main entrance and climb onto the scaffold along the northern edge of the tower. Pick up the crystal and take it back to the portal.

Place the crystal in the portal and use Aard to activate it. Once the portal opens, jump inside. You will arrive in a tunnel beneath the Signal Tower. Defeat the Wraiths you encounter, then search the skeleton at the end of the tunnel. You will find the Basic Wolven Armor Diagrams along with some notes about the Wolven gear. This gives you the diagrams needed to craft the first set of Wolven armor. To craft it you will need:

• 2x Hardened Leather
• 5x Leather Straps
• 2x Monster Eye

Enhanced Wolven Armor Locations

You can start collecting all the pieces of the Enhanced version of the Wolven armor after reaching level 21. After collecting all the different diagrams, you can visit any blacksmith to craft it.

Enhanced Wolven Silver Sword

You can find the Enhanced Wolven Silver Sword Diagram in the Baron’s garden at Crow’s Perch. Head into the garden and look for the ladder that leads down into the cavern beneath the well. Once you’re underground, face the water and head toward the wall on the right. You’ll find a chest there containing the diagram. To craft it you will need: 

• 1 Wolven Silver Sword
• 2 Leather Straps
• 1 Monster Egg
• 1 Monster Tongue
• 2 Meteorite Silver Ingot

Enhanced Wolven Steel Sword

For the Enhanced Wolven Steel Sword Diagram, return to the Ruined Watchtower far north of Kaer Morhen. Enter the watchtower through the main entrance, then climb the crumbling stone ramp. Continue up to the scaffold above the entrance, where you’ll find a chest containing the diagram. To craft it, you will need:

• 1 Leather Scrap
• 2 Dark Steel Ingot
• 1 Monster Claw
• 1 Powdered Monster Tissue

Enhanced Wolven Armor

The Enhanced Wolven Armor Diagram is located in a small ruin in the lake south of Fyke Isle. Sail to the ruin and deal with any Drowners in the area. Then use your Witcher Senses to find the Wolf School symbol on the broken wall. Dive underwater near the ruin and you’ll find two chests. The first contains some regular gear, while the second chest, located a little deeper, contains the Enhanced Wolven Armor Diagram. To craft it, you will need: 

• 1 Wolven Armor
• 3 Hardened Leather
• 4 Linen
• 5 Monster Feather
• 1 Meteorite Silver Plate
• Required Level: 21

Enhanced Wolven Gauntlets

The Enhanced Wolven Gauntlets Diagram can be found in a cave south of Kaer Morhen. This is the same cave where you fight the Forktail with Eskel during the Ugly Baby main quest. Enter the cave and follow the path on the right. Continue through the cave, climb over the rocks, and enter the main chamber. Look along the left-hand wall for a wooden chest containing the diagram. To craft it you will need: 

• 1 Wolven Gauntlets
• 4 Leather Scraps
• 2 Leather Straps
• 1 Meteorite Ore
• 2 Thread
• 4 Powdered Monster Tissue
• Required Level: 21

Enhanced Wolven Trousers

To find the Enhanced Wolven Trousers Diagram, take the boat from the Lakeside Hut north of Kaer Morhen and sail toward the southeastern part of the lake. Follow the southern path between the small island and the mountainside. Stop the boat there and dive underwater. You’ll find a chest beneath the surface containing the diagram. To craft it you will need:

• 1 Cured Leather
• 4 Leather Scraps
• 1 Meteorite Ore
• 1 Monster Blood

Enhanced Wolven Boots

The Enhanced Wolven Boots Diagram can be found near the Grotto fast-travel point in northeastern Velen. After reaching the Grotto, enter the cave and follow either the left or right path around the large stone column. Continue toward the back of the column, where you’ll find a chest containing the diagram. To craft it you will need:

• 4 Leather Scraps
• 1 Meteorite Ore
• 1 Monster Essence

Superior Wolven Armor Set Locations

Unlike other Superior armor sets from other armor types, the Superior Wolven armor set diagrams are scattered across the map. So you need to work hard in locating the armor, trouser, gauntlets, and boots, as well as weapons for this set. You can craft it after reaching level 29 and after visiting any blacksmith.

Superior Wolven Silver Sword

The Superior Wolven Silver Sword Diagram can be found southeast of Arinbjorn in the Skellige Isles. You’ll find three burial mounds in this area. Enter the southernmost tomb and look along the eastern wall. The diagram is inside a small chest hidden in an alcove. To craft it you will need: 

• 1 Enhanced Wolven Silver Sword
• 3 Dimeritium Ingot
• 2 Leather Scraps
• 1 Monster Blood
• 1 Powdered Monster Tissue

Superior Wolven Steel Sword

For the Superior Wolven Steel Sword Diagram, head southwest of Lofoten in Skellige. Follow the coastal path up the cliff until you reach the base of the broken tower. Climb the rocks to reach the tower platform, then head down into the collapsed ruins. There may be a Rock Troll nearby, so either defeat it or carefully avoid it.

Inside the next chamber, you’ll find poisonous gas blocking your way. Use Igni or a Grapeshot bomb to clear the gas, then quickly run to the back-left wall and grab the diagram. The gas comes back quickly, so don’t spend too much time in the area. To craft it you will need: 

• 1 Enhanced Wolven Steel Sword
• 3 Dark Steel Ingots
• 1 Leather Scrap
• 1 Monster Blood
• 1 Monster Feather

Superior Wolven Armor

The Superior Wolven Armor Diagram is located in a ruined fort southwest of Fyresdal in Skellige. There is also a Harpy nest at this location. Enter through the gate and climb the ruins on the right. Jump onto the walkway and follow it all the way to the end. You’ll find a chest there containing the diagram. To craft it you will need: 

• 1 Enhanced Wolven Armor
• 2 Cured Draconid Leather
• 2 Dimeritium Plate
• 1 Monster Heart
• 1 Monster Hide

Superior Wolven Gauntlets

To find the Superior Wolven Gauntlets Diagram, head to the Iron Mine south of Kaer Morhen. Enter the mine and follow the path around the corner to the right. When you reach a split in the tunnel, take the path into the chamber on your left. Inside, look along the right-hand wall for an altar with a chest. The diagram is inside the chest. Be careful while approaching, as an Earth Elemental is in the chamber. To craft it you will need:

• 1 Cured Leather
• 1 Meteorite Silver Plate
• 2 Monster Tongue

Superior Wolven Trousers

The Superior Wolven Trousers Diagram can be found at the end of the path northwest of Kaer Morhen. Use your Witcher Senses near the entrance to find the Wolf School rune carved into the rock. This marks the entrance to an old Witcher hideout.

Enter the tunnels and watch out for the Nekkers and Rotfiends inside. Continue to the final hall and look for the stalagmites near the pillar on the left side. Use Aard to destroy the rocks blocking the way. Behind them, you’ll find a chest containing the diagram. To craft it you will need: 

• 1 Enhanced Wolven Trousers
• 1 Leather Strap
• 1 Meteorite Silver Ingot
• 1 Monster Egg
• 2 Silk

Superior Wolven Boots

For the Superior Wolven Boots Diagram, start by following the river south of Kaer Morhen toward the east. Continue around the bend and head north until you find a cave entrance on the eastern riverbank. Enter the cave and follow the tunnels until you reach the large main chamber. On the right-hand wall, you’ll find some stalagmites blocking the way. Use Aard to destroy them, then search the chest behind the rocks to collect the diagram. To craft it you will need: 

• 1 Enhanced Wolven Boots
• 2 Hardened Leather
• 1 Meteorite Silver Ingot
• 2 Monster Claw
• 2 String

Mastercrafted Wolven Armor Set Locations

Upon reaching level 34, you can start crafting the Mastercrafted version of the Wolven armor set at the Mastercraft blacksmith at Novigrad and Crow’s Perch. Similar to the Superior armor set and the other armor types prior to it, you need to explore different locations to collect the armor, trouser, gauntlet, boot, and weapon diagrams.

Mastercrafted Wolven Silver Sword

The Mastercrafted Wolven Silver Sword Diagram can be found southwest of Kimbolt Way in Velen. Follow the road southwest past the destroyed village. Continue until you see a large tree standing in the middle of the bog.

A Fiend is guarding this area, so defeat it before searching for the diagram. Once the fight is over, loot the nearby corpse to get the keys to the abandoned hideout. You can then enter the hideout and collect the diagram. To craft it, you will need: 

• 1 Superior Wolven Silver Sword
• 2 Dimeritium Ingot
• 2 Leather Straps
• 1 Monster Feather
• 1 Monster Heart

Mastercrafted Wolven Steel Sword

For the Mastercrafted Wolven Steel Sword Diagram, head to the western coast of Velen, southwest of Duén Hen. Look for the Spoils of War marker and enter the sunken ship. The chest containing the diagram is underneath the staircase inside the ship. To craft it you will need: 

• 1 Superior Wolven Steel Sword
• 2 Dimeritium Ingots
• 2 Leather Scraps
• 1 Monster Egg
• 1 Siren Vocal Chord

Mastercrafted Wolven Armor

The Mastercrafted Wolven Armor Diagram is located at a ruined shrine or temple along the road east of Byways in southern Velen. When you reach the ruins, face the entrance and look to the left of the first set of stairs. The diagram is inside the large brazier. To craft it you will need: 

• 1 Superior Wolven Armor
• 2 Cured Draconid Leather
• 3 Dimeritium Plate
• 1 Fifth Essence
• 1 Monster Brain

Mastercrafted Wolven Gauntlets

Head east of Fayrlund in the Skellige Isles to find a large ruined tower. Near the tower, look just over the ruined wall beside the road. You’ll find a chest there containing the diagram. Be careful when searching this area, as the large Fiend Morvudd from the Missing Son quest may be nearby. To craft it you will need: 

• 1 Superior Wolven Gauntlets
• 1 Cured Leather
• 1 Meteorite Silver Plate
• 2 Monster Tongue
• 2 String

Mastercrafted Wolven Trousers

The Mastercrafted Wolven Trousers Diagram can be found at the Old Watchtower on Svorlag in the Skellige Isles. Head up to the ruins and look for the gear chest sitting on top of the archway at the base of the tower.

To reach it, climb onto the wall near the tree and use it to get onto the arch. From there, you can collect the diagram from the chest. To craft it you will need: 

• 1 Superior Wolven Trousers
• 1 Leather Strap
• 1 Meteorite Silver Ingot
• 1 Monster Egg
• 2 Silk

Mastercrafted Wolven Boots

For the Mastercrafted Wolven Boots Diagram, travel to Undvik in the Skellige Isles and head to the southern edge of the ruins of Dorve. Look for the tall ruined tower on the hill. The diagram is inside a chest at the base of the tower. To craft it you will need: 

• 1 Superior Wolven Boots
• 2 Hardened Leather
• 1 Meteorite Silver Ingot
• 1 Monster Claw
• 2 String

Grandmaster Wolven Gear

If you own the Blood and Wine DLC, then you can pick up the Grandmaster version of the Wolven armor set and craft it at the Grandmaster blacksmith in Beauclair once you reach level 40. Luckily, you can pick up all the parts of the Grandmaster Wolven Armor from one location. 

The Grandmaster Wolven Gear diagrams can be found in the Termes Palace Ruins in the southeastern part of Toussaint. Start at the Termes Palace Ruins and follow the path until you reach a burned-out campfire slightly to the right. Look underneath the nearby bench to find Isabelle Duchamp’s journal. Read the journal to reveal your next location.

From there, head north toward the large ruins. Follow the road around until you find a set of stone stairs leading up to an archway with a glowing purple barrier. Before going through the arch, look to the right to find a Purple Ruby. Pick it up and place it in the holder beside the portal. This will remove the purple barrier and allow you to continue.

Once inside, defeat the enemies in the next room and turn left through the doorway. You’ll come across a broken wall blocking the corridor. Use Aard to destroy it and continue forward. In the large room ahead, you’ll have to fight a giant centipede. After defeating it, continue forward and climb up the ledges. You’ll eventually reach another broken wall, so use Aard again to clear the path.

Drop down into the next area and defeat the enemies. Then turn left and go through the archway. You’ll find a crypt in this room. Continue a little farther past the crypt to find a small satchel containing the first set of Grandmaster Wolven diagrams.

After collecting them, return to the previous room and go straight through the next doorway. Look at the skeletal remains on the floor in front of you. They contain the remaining Grandmaster Wolven diagrams. Once you’ve searched the skeleton, you’ll have collected all of the Grandmaster Wolven Gear diagrams from this location.
