The remastered version of The Witcher 3 has some rare weaponry, collectable items, and unique loot that may go unnoticed in the course of normal gameplay. Some of them are related to quests or locations; others will not be available if the story advances too much. In this guide, we’ll go through some of the most interesting secret unique items in The Witcher 3 Remastered and explain how you can get them before they are permanently missed.
Crystal Bird Skull

The Crystal Bird Skull can be found at the campsite in White Orchard during the early stages of the game. The skull can be returned to Yen during later parts of the game at Vizima.
Thaler’s Monocle

You can get it from the ground in the hut by the river during the quest called A Frying Pan, Spick and Span. Remember to take both the monocle and the burnt papers. Once you finish the quest, you cannot enter the house again, so you will not have another opportunity to get them. Later, when you finish A Deadly Plot, you can return the monocle to Thaler in the Seven Cats Inn.
Mummified Elf Head

In order to obtain the Mummified Elf Head, locate yourself at the designated spot on the map. There will be a troll who is fighting a band of nekkers. Should you decide to help the troll, then you will receive a rare item from his cooking pot.
Jade Figurine

The Jade Figurine is available for purchase at a magical merchant in Novigrad. Once you acquire the figurine, give it to Triss, and you will initiate the secret quest named The Nobleman’s Statue. However, you must do this prior to Triss’s departure from Novigrad.

When you hand the statue to Triss, she will tell you that a person is trapped within it magically. She can then perform a ritual to free them. If Triss returns to Nograd later, you can ask her about the figurine to learn more about it.
Noble Figurine

The doll is obtained by searching the house of Caesar Bilzen in the A Dangerous Game quest. It must be taken to Triss before she leaves Novigrad. After getting the doll, it needs to be taken to Triss, who will help remove the enchantment from the doll. Similar to the Jade Figurine, you can ask Triss about the Noble Figurine upon her rearrival.
Rose of Remembrance

You can find it inside Triss’s looted house in Novigrad. Make sure you pick it up before the house is permanently cleared, as you won’t be able to return for it later.
Reverend Nathaniel’s Poker

You can get Reverend Nathaniel’s Poker during the Carnal Sins quest. To obtain it, you need to kill the serial killer during the quest and loot the poker from his body.
Succubus Mutagen

In order to create the Succubus Decoction, you need Succubus Mutagen, which boosts your attack strength. You can get the Succubus Mutagen by slaying a succubus in either “A Deadly Delight” or in “Practicikum” Advanced Alchemy.
Doppler Mutagen

The Doppler Mutagen is yet another rare ingredient of alchemy. It is utilized to create Doppler Decoction that increases the damage dealt in a critical hit. The only way to obtain the Doppler Mutagen is to kill the Doppler during the Novigrad contract for the fugitive thief.
Hornwall Horn

The Hornwall Horn is a unique item that can make fighting flying monsters much easier. When you use it, flying enemies such as sirens and ekhidnas in Skellige are forced to the ground, allowing you to attack them more easily. You can loot the horn from the body of a fallen warrior near the Ice Trolls’ cave during the Lord of Undvik quest.
Horned Hoskuld’s Sword

The Horned Hoskuld’s Sword is a unique weapon that you can obtain during the Skellige side quest The Iron Maiden. During the quest, Jutta wants you to prove that you’re worthy of her. One way to do this is by retrieving Hoskuld’s sword and giving it to her. However, there’s another way to prove yourself. If you complete the Fist of Fury quests before speaking to Jutta, you can fight Olaf instead. After doing that, you can collect the sword for yourself.
Teigr

Teigr is one of the two unique Witcher weapons that cannot be crafted because there is no blueprint for it. Rather, to get it, start the Beast of Honour quest at Crow’s Perch. You then need to complete The Cat and the Wolf Play and choose to spare the Witcher instead of killing him. Afterwards, he will give you the location of his stash. Head there, and you’ll be able to loot Teigr.
Ancient Leshen Mutagen

The Ancient Leshen Mutagen is needed to craft the Ancient Leshen Decoction, which helps with stamina regeneration. You can only get this mutagen if you side with Sven during In the Heart of the Woods and choose to kill the Woodland Spirit. You can also find this item near Arnskrone Castle Ruins.
Necker Hide Boots

The Necker Hide Boots are a rare pair of footwear that you can get from Skellige’s Most Wanted side quest. Start the quest in Fyresdal and continue until you reach the final part, where you have to deal with several monsters.

To receive the boots, you need to have spared at least two monsters during earlier quests. These can include:
- The troll from Missing Miners quest.
- The monster from The Elusive Thief quest.
- The succubus from A Deadly Delight quest.
- Johnny from The Ladies of the Wood quest.
As long as you’ve saved two different monsters before completing Skellige’s Most Wanted, you’ll receive the Necker Hide Boots as a reward.
Triss’ Earring

You can find Triss’ Earring during the Ugly Baby quest at Kaer Morhen. During the quest, look for the wreckage of the bed that Yen throws out of the window. Search through the wreckage and you’ll find Triss’ earring. Later in the story, when Triss returns to Kaer Morhen, you can give the earring back to her. She will then wear both earrings.
Berengar’s Blade Diagram

Berengar’s Blade Diagram can be found inside a chest at the Old Bastion in Kaer Morhen. You can get it during the Berengar’s Blade side quest. However, the quest becomes unavailable if you progress past the Isle of Mists without completing it. After reading the notes, you don’t necessarily have to follow the entire quest. You can head straight to the cave and collect the diagram for the Torhaerne blade.
