The Splendent Ruby is an important piece of equipment that is required in order to complete the Essence Extraction upgrade quest within Aion 2. Acquiring the Splendent Ruby is not going to be quick since the Splendent Ruby is a rare drop from Ruby gathering nodes. This guide covers the Splendent Ruby locations for both Elyos and Asmodian players, along with what you need to do after collecting it.
Elyos Splendent Ruby Location
Elyos players can find Ruby veins to mine at the all around Verteron Fortress Ruins. There are also appropriate veins located near Ellun River Midstream, Kraka Footpath, and Destroyed Abyss Gate. The Splendent Ruby can be found through the mining of normal Ruby veins here.
Gathering nodes are accessible to all people in the open world, and therefore others can gather them before you do. If someone gathers the Ruby ahead of you, then the node will vanish temporarily. When this happens, find an alternate deposit for Ruby.
Asmodian Splendent Ruby Location
Ruby veins are available in almost all cliffs in the western and southern parts of the Calderon Canyon for the Asmodians. Since the Ruby deposits are obtainable by others, you might find the region empty when you come there.
In such cases, it will be better to shift from one place to another rather than waiting until the deposits respawn. The necessary Ruby for the enhancement is also available in Tranein Highland, Dredgion Crash Site, Silent Hill, and Nameless Cemetery.
How to Use Splendent Ruby
Upon reaching Novice Level 50 for Essence Extraction, players have the opportunity to go on the [Upgrade] Essence Extraction Speciality Skill quest to upgrade their gathering skill rank. An objective of the quest is the collection of a Splendent Ruby.
Once you’ve acquired the necessary quest object, go to your faction’s Artisan Essence Extractor to end the quest. The Elyos player will have to talk to Korius in Verteron, while the Asmodian player will have to go to Alzirr in Altgard.
After succeeding in the speciality upgrade test, your Essence Extraction level rises from Novice to Professional, hence lifting the level 50 restriction on your Novice level and enabling you to continue getting experience and skill points.
