This guide on The Blood of Dawnwalker lists all three Sword Shards required for the Forge It Anew quest which requires you to find these fragments before the legendary Sword of St. Mihai can be restored. We’ve explained where each of the sword shards are located, who the Uriashi blacksmith is, as well as how to complete the weapon crafting process.
All Sword Shards Location
In the world of The Blood of Dawnwalker, St. Mihai’s sword is recognized as one of the most powerful weapons, however, it requires three sword shards to be restored. These are obtained through the three Forge It Anew objectives: Do Not Disturb, Hostile Takeover, and Executive Order, through which the sword shards are obtained. You have to spend three Time Segments to collect each shard.
Do Not Disturb: Sword Shard #1
The first shard can be discovered in the northeast area of Maragir Wealds. Look for a large, slanted rock formation and pass underneath it to reach a kobold-infested cave.
Get to the cave and kill all the kobolds inside. The Sword Shard can be pulled from the kobold nest found near the altar. There is also a drawing on the wall indicating where the other shards are located.

Hostile Takeover: Sword Shard #2
The second shard can be found deep in a cave located at the rocky cliffs of Rockfell in the vicinity of the Giant’s Pawns. There will be a small gap in the cliffs and the bodies of a few dead kobolds could be found nearby.
Once you have entered the cave, you will encounter Munch-Munch, who is a mutated kobold miniboss and can attack with his claws. However, the claw attacks can be blocked while the poisonous attacks can be avoided through rolling to the side when the red skull shows.
Once Munch-Munch is defeated, check the kobold nest for the second shard.

Executive Order: Sword Shard #3
For the last shard you have to go to the mountains around Tantari and look for a kobold cave. The forces of Xanthe have already plundered the place, and you need to read the note to discover that the kobold’s belongings were moved to a camp nearby.
The Sword Shard is in the main tent of the camp. The guards there are rather powerful, so you can lure them away from the area before circling back and entering the tent.

How to Restore the Sword of St. Mihai
Once you’ve gathered all three shards, the next item you require is the Broken Sword of St. Mihai, which you acquire through the A Monk and a Saint questline at the Svartrau Cathedral.
Take the sword and the three shards to the Uriashi blacksmith, just northwest of Briar Sloughs. The blacksmith crafts the shards into the Restored Sword of St. Mihai, which is an epic tier weapon.
Next, you can perform some enhancements on the sword. Head northwest from the blacksmith until you encounter a cave sealed with red vines. Cut through the vines, then slay the undead enemies and perform the ritual inside the cave, which costs 3 Time Segments to complete.
This triggers a battle against multiple waves of undead enemies. Survive the encounter, and you can transform the weapon into the legendary Imbued Sword of St. Mihai.
The final weapon improves critical hit chance and critical hit damage while also increasing damage against supernatural enemies.
