There are various endings for Blood of Dawnwalker, and your decisions in the game will entirely change the destiny of Coen and the destinies of his family. The ending that you get will be based on how well you complete character quests, and there are some endings you only unlock when time expires. In this guide, we’ll explain how to unlock every ending, including the main good endings, bad endings, and the secret early endings.
The Turncoat

In the Turncoat Ending, Coen chooses to help Brencis as he aims to have his family back. In order to show his loyalty to Brencis, Coen betrays the allies who helped him and those whom he had recruited in his quest. Coen also shows the hideout of the Manumits to Brencis, which makes his old allies face grave danger.
However, if you manage to achieve this ending prior to the completion of the 30-day timer, then you will receive another trophy for saving Coen’s family. This particular choice can be made once again in the flight sections of both the Lacra and Crake endings. Therefore, even if you chose some other person previously, you may reconsider your decision towards the end of your quest and take help from Brencis. As a bonus, saving Esme in the Prologue will also help unlock this ending.
Folk Hero

The Folk Hero ending involves killing Brencis and emerging victorious to put an end to his tyrannical rule. There are several ways through which you can unlock this ending. One of the easiest ways is by killing Brencis shortly after the opening sequence. Another way to achieve this ending is at some later point in the game.
First, kill Brencis’ three underlings, Ambrus, Bakir, and Xanthe, before the 30 days elapse. Secondly, increase your infamy to its highest level. Eventually, Brencis will get in touch with you and start the A Deal with the Devil quest. Accept his deal; however, when asked whether you want to continue meeting or end the deal, choose “Enough. Time to End this.” This will trigger the final fight against Brencis. Defeat him in this boss battle, and you’ll unlock the Folk Hero ending.
Patricide

In order to get to the Patricide ending, you must finish the story of Lacra and get her to join Coen in the fight with Brencis. Ensure that you finish all her missions starting with:
- A Friend Like This.
- Song of the Mountain.
- Hive and Seek.
- Our Rotten Roots.
You can also finish The Night of Horrors mission, which is an optional one that relates to Misery Loves Company, before proceeding to Midnight Reckoning. After completing Midnight Reckoning, make sure to take Lacra along with Coen when he heads into the final sequence. Defeat Brencis alongside Lacra in order to get the Patricide achievement.
Knyazmaker

In order to get this ending, you have to finish the quest line of Crake. After making sufficient progress in the game, the ending will start once you speak with Crake while the quest Rise at Dawn is in motion. You should make sure that you complete the following quests before starting the Who Pulls the Strings quest:
- The Firebrand
- Shadows in the Woods
- Where Loyalty Lies
- What Hunts the Night
- What Moves the Dead
In the process of doing this, you can also do quests like Distant Shadows and A Closer Look, which are also optional, and A Closer Look will earn you The Manumit achievement/trophy. Once the quest line of Crake has been completed, the ending quest will be Rise at Dawn. Talk to Crake as per the objective of the quest and proceed towards the ending. From there, completing Fall Before Dusk will finish Crake’s ending.
A Hero They Deserve

In this particular ending, Coen will decide to abandon Vale Sangora entirely. The hero will not want to help his family and other people who need his aid anymore; he will be too busy escaping from the valley himself.
To get to this ending, first, you should locate Coen at night near the collapsed bridge in Briar Sloughs. After meeting with him, use the Vampiric Shadowstep power to get to the canyon wall. Then, Coen will be able to escape from the valley.
Together Forever

This alternate ending will happen during the Home Sweet Home mission. Coen will find himself locked into a loop in which he reunites with his family. While stuck in the loop, you will have an option to fight through all the waves of enemies or find your way out of the dream using the available well. However, if you choose to keep fighting instead of leaving, Coen will eventually surrender to the dream and stay trapped in the illusion with his family.
Also, it should be mentioned that these endings do not count towards the completion of the game in its most difficult setting. In order to pass this mode, you will need to save the residents of Laslea, and it can be done only via one of the four story lines.
Bad Ending

The last of the bad endings is based on the time limit in The Blood of Dawnwalker instead of a particular choice of dialogue. If you do not complete the mission to save Coen’s family within 30 days of the start of the game, Brencis will sacrifice Coen’s family members at the castle.
To achieve this ending, you just need to rest at shrines to pass time until the 30-day period ends. There is no special achievement for failing in this mission. This game does not end the current playthrough once Coen’s family members die. You are still able to explore the land of Vale Sangora normally.
