Redacted is one of the newer badges that you can earn in DOORS. You will need to find a unique disc in the Archives and use it on the TV in the Hotel. This can be done by earning S-50, making A-90 show up, and doing a small event in order to gain the disc and use it on the TV to earn the badge.
How To Get The Redacted Badge
To get the Redacted Badge, you need to obtain a special disc from the Archives and play it on TV at the Hotel. In order to get there, you will first need to start a new game and get to the Hotel. However, in order to get to the Archives, you will need a Skeleton Key, so make sure you have one.
You also need to purchase a Lockpick from the store in the lobby. Go to Door 54, and there will be Jeff’s Shop where you can purchase the Skeleton Key. Continue until you get to Door 61. Open the door and head into the Archives.
Get The Disc From The Archives
The next objective after arriving at the Archives is getting to S-50. You will have to get to this location since this room has a side room in which you can acquire the required disc. But to do this, you must wait for A-90 to spawn. As soon as you get to S-50, stay within this area and keep running around until A-90 spawns.
Once it spawns, go into the side room and finish the cutscene. Do not panic, since you have enough time. When the cutscene is finished, you need to pay attention to the flower symbol since A-90 and the event in this room have the same flower symbol.
Also, you might see a honeypot in this part. Do not panic if there is no honeypot in this room since it is not essential for completing the task. Once the event is finished, go into the adjacent room and look on the floor. There, you will see a random CD/disc lying on the floor.
How to Get the CD (Cheese Method)
There’s an easier way to get the CD if you don’t want to go through the steps above. After reaching S-50, just enter the Archival Storage area. Let the cutscene play out after interacting with the storage boxes at the back, then turn around and enter the room with the laptop.
Interact with the laptop and open it, then click on the S logo at the bottom left corner. Then, press the Triangle icon next to the power icon to eject the disk inside the laptop. You now need to carry the disk all the way to the Stairwell.
Take The Disc To The TV
Now you should complete the Archives and go back to the Hotel. Make sure to carry the disc with you because you will need it in the last stage. Now, you should go to the Stairwell which has the TV near them. If you had purchased the Skeleton Key earlier, you can unlock the Stairwell area. Otherwise, you can also use the Lotus to get to the Stairwell.
Navigate the Stairwell and locate the TV, then use the CD in it. If you have done everything in the correct way, then the TV screen will change, and an entity will come out from it. After the entity appears, you should receive the Redacted badge. If you want to get rid of the entity, all you need to do is smash the TV and it will stop chasing you down.
