The Minotaur puzzle in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy could be quite a challenge for beginners since there are many mirrors and symbols in the room. Fortunately, solving the puzzle is not a difficult task if one knows which symbols to use and where to focus the light. In this guide, we’ll walk you through each step of the puzzle, from updating Sophia’s journal to raising the Minotaur and unlocking the path forward.
How To Solve The Minotaur Puzzle
The Minotaur puzzle appears near the end of Chapter 4. On entering this zone, make sure you walk through the whole floor and look at all the signs found there. This will update Sophia’s journal. Open her journal and read the right-hand page. On the page, you will notice that there are two sets of signs linked together. These are the signs you have to light up. The order does not matter, but you need to complete one pair at a time.
Light Up The First Pair
In order to find the first pair, search for the symbol which looks similar to a bell and the symbol which seems to look like a fork. First, start off with the bell-shaped symbol. It is located on the left side of the room near the entrance of the room. Locate the mirror opposite it and use the light to target the disc situated above the symbol.
Then locate the other symbol from the pair. It can be found near the mirror located opposite it. Target the disc above this symbol using the light as well. Upon lighting both the symbols, the Minotaur will lift one of its hands. Go to the lifted hand and position yourself near it. Use the light on the symbol on the ring to get a new symbol updated in Sophia’s journal.
Light Up The Second Pair
Now it’s time to light the second pair of symbols. These two symbols include a triangle and another one that resembles three fingers pointing downwards. You can see the triangle in front of the room and should not miss it. The process of lighting this symbol involves directing the light to the disc placed above it.
For the three-fingers symbol, check out the part where the hand of the Minotaur is raised. While this particular symbol might not be visible on the wall, it is situated close to a symbol resembling a reversed letter ‘A’. Direct your light to the empty space to the left of this reversed-A symbol using the mirror.
Once the process is completed, the Minotaur will raise its second hand. Similar to the first one, proceed to the second raised hand and illuminate the symbol on its ring. This gives you the final symbol needed for the puzzle and adds it to the top of Sophia’s journal.
Use the Two New Symbols
Let’s open Sophia’s journal again. This time you should notice two more symbols above. Let’s start with the first one, the symbol on the upper left part of the picture. It is situated close to the second raised hand of the Minotaur. Looking at the wall, you won’t see the symbol itself, but it is situated two triangles below the mentioned triangle. To find it, go to the opposite mirror and illuminate the left circle.
Now let’s find the symbol with three spikes. It is also situated close to the triangle, but it is not visible on the wall. In order to find it, use the mirror which is close by, but do not point it at the symbol itself. Instead, point at the middle mirror of the entrance and then use it to illuminate the symbol.
When all the symbols have been found, the whole Minotaur will become active and uncover a new column under it. After a small fight with some soldiers, put the key into the socket and open the passage. Thus you will be able to explore the area and finish the chapter.
