But you will have to look into the surrounding area to try and find out how they match up. Once you get a hold on how they fit, solving the puzzle is rather simple. Here’s everything you need to know to solve the puzzle and open the door.
Chapter 10 Door Puzzle Solution
If you check your book, you’ll find six symbols that match three pictures of warriors holding different weapons. These pictures give you the correct pairs for the puzzle:
- Arrow + Bow
- Sword + Round Shield
- Spear + Large Shield
Finally, explore the surroundings and find the six statues. All the statues have one of the symbols carved into them. But you’ll require a light source to see the second symbol on each of the statues. Take a position under the light and use the orb on the statues to unlock the hidden symbol. Either the second symbol will be the same as those surrounding the door, or it will help you identify which ring you must use.
There is a beacon situated at the end of the area that can offer you a light source. Find it and use it to see the symbols. After examining the statues, you can go ahead and solve the puzzle on the door. Utilise the data from the statues along with the symbols in your book to align the nodes of the three rings.
How to Solve the Door Puzzle
To solve this puzzle, first look at the symbols on the sword, bow, and spear plinths. These symbols tell you which symbol around the outside of the door each coloured gem needs to point towards. Here’s how the three rings should be set:
- Inner Ring: This is connected to the circular shield, which is paired with the sword. Point the green gem at the serpent symbol.
- Middle Ring: This is connected to the quiver, which is paired with the bow. Point the red gem at the upward arrow symbol.
- Outer Ring: This is connected to the large shield, which is paired with the spear. Point the blue gem at the H-shaped symbol.
In other words, turn the left pedestal so that the green gem is pointing toward the snake icon. Turn the centre pedestal to point the red gem toward the upwards-facing arrow. Lastly, turn the right pedestal so that the blue gem aligns with the forked F icon.
After aligning the rings to the correct position, step inside the light beam and change your sphere to the colored light beam. Start by focusing on the green gem and align the red and blue light beams to match their gems, respectively. The door will open when you do it right.
