Recommended Build
For this mini-boss, you don’t need a complicated build. The combination of Summon and Shrike Tar Stone can make the battle much simpler, provided that you are at an early stage of the game. Both of these can be obtained easily, and thus, you should use them if you already have them. The summon will distract the boss while you concentrate on attacking.
In case you wish to attack from a distance, you can take your crossbow with you. For this fight, the Untarnished Seal is useful because it gives you access to a perfect guard. Parry and fill up the stagger bar. Once you have filled the boss’s stagger meter, you can attack him and do damage to him.

Another feature of this mini-boss fight is that there is a bear trap near it. Be careful about it, as falling into it will stun you for some time. Of course, you could lure it in to damage it. Also, the boss won’t do anything if you simply run away from it.
Great Arbiter Of Flesh Moveset
The Great Arbiter of Flesh is one of the first bosses you will fight in Mortal Shell 2.
- Side Swing: This is one of his most frequent attacks and a great chance to improve your parry technique. Begin blocking as soon as you notice him moving his weapon from the left side.
- Overhead Strike: As soon as he raises his weapon above his head, you can either dodge or parry his next attack.
- Fake Swing: He may start a normal swing and suddenly change the direction of his attack by swinging from the other side. Sideways dodges are the safest way to evade his attack. In case you fail to parry and block this attack, continue holding your guard position to prevent receiving any damage.
- Grab: This is one of the most dangerous of his attacks. As soon as you notice his free hand appearing in the red circle, immediately perform a dodge manoeuvre to evade his attack.
- Lunging Whirlwind: He will perform a crouching action before delivering this kind of attack; thus, it is pretty easy to anticipate it. After parrying the initial hit, get ready for the subsequent attacks by either parrying them again, keeping your guard position, or dodging.
- Stagger Punish: If he reaches his full stagger meter and you successfully parry his attack, you can perform the punishment animation.

The lunging attack is yet another good opportunity for you to use your defensive moves. Look out for him to lower his stance, and then get yourself ready to parry his first attack. Parry after this, block his other attacks or just move away from him.
In case his stagger bar is filled up, a successful parry would interrupt his entire series of attacks and leave him vulnerable to be punished. When he falls on the ground after breaking his posture, take this time to take some free shots before moving away.
