In Mortal Shell 2, collectibles aren’t just optional loot, they’re one of the most reliable ways to build your coin supply. At Marrows Keep, you can bring many collectible items to the merchant and exchange them for coins, which help you fund the upgrades you want for your weapons as you progress. Since weapons upgrades rely on spending coins and ventrium at the Tarforge machine, having a steady income matters.
The key issue is that upgrade costs typically rise as your weapons move to higher tiers, so the more you upgrade, the more difficult it can become to keep affording the next upgrade. The Marsh Pearl collectible is especially valuable because the merchant pays a large amount for it ~2000coins. The best part is that you can obtain it relatively early and easily, letting you boost your upgrade budget before costs climb too far.

Path to Gorf
Teleport to the Widow’s lookout beacon, then head north up the hill until you reach an area where the path becomes more clearly defined as a trial. As you move along, check the right side of your route – you should be able to spot a large tree. Walk around the tree and take a look at the base of the tree, where you’ll find a few mushrooms/ weltcaps. Collect them because they are exactly what youre going to need to get the collectible.
Just past the trial area, there’s a small break in the route where a narrow side path opens up to the right. Follow that small path into the side area and you’ll eventually come to a location where you can spot a big frog, Gorf.
Gorf
If you speak with Gorf, you’ll hear that it’s coughing and that it needs help. He hints us that a weltcap can help him with the coughing. After the initial conversation, talk to Gorf again and you’ll be given an option to give him a weltcap. Do that and the coughing will be suppressed. As a reward for helping Gorf, he gives you a Marsh Pearl collectible.
Marsh Pearl
Once you obtain the Marsh Pearl from Gorf, make your way back to Marrows Keep and visit the merchant to sell it. The merchant offers you ~2000 coins for the Marsh Pearl, that’s a major early game boost because it gives you a large amount of spending power during weapon upgrades.
