In Mortal Shell 2, Mether’s Pulse is one of the core aspects of the game’s healing mechanics, and upgrading the pulse allows you to respond to threats more confidently and maintain pressure instead of getting locked into defensive mode. But Mether’s Pulse doesn’t become great just by default, you’ll notice that your pulse capacity and efficiency becomes less effective once you start upgrading your character. That’s why this guide focuses on the practical ways to increase both the capacity of the pulse and effectives of it during fights.
In this guide you’ll learn how to upgrade your Mether’s Pulse, what you’re going to need to upgrade it and how to get them, so that you can take on threats without worrying too much about heals and survive longer during tough fights.
Increase Mether’s Pulse Capacity

To increase Mether’s Pulse capacity, you’ll need an item called Revered Gland. The good news is that you can pick one up early and it’s close to an accessible route. Start at Widow’s Lookout beacon, from there head toward the southeast direction and continue down the hill. As you descend, you can notice an area on the right side that contains a boss fight. In that area, there’s a ritual site and that ritual site is where your first Revered Gland is located.

You don’t have to defeat the boss in order to collect the gland. The boss will be patrolling, so you can wait for the right moment and use that opening to move carefully, approach the Revered Gland ritual site from the opposite side of the ritual site, grab the item before the boss closes in and return to a safe location.
Increase Mether’s Pulse Efficiency

To increase the efficiency of Mether’s Pulse, you’ll need an item called Synaptic Vessel. While pulse capacity is how many times you can heal, pulse efficiency is about how much health you can replenish upon usage. In simple terms, upgrading efficiency of the pulse increases the amount of health restored upon consuming a pulse. A Synaptic Vessel isn’t something you’ll find as random loot, instead you need to go through specific boss fights, where there’s a chance that they can drop a Synaptic Vessel as a reward.
Merchant

Additionally, there’s an alternative way to get your first Revered Gland and Synaptic Vessel without relying on pickups or drops. If you want a more direct route, you can visit the merchant in the Marrow’s Keep and purchase both the items in exchange for coins.
