- Aurous: Doubles the fish’s value.
- Aurelian: Triples the fish’s value.
- Aureate: Quadruples the fish’s value.
- Aurulent: Increases the fish’s value fivefold.
- Aureolin: Increases the fish’s value fivefold.
The Auric Rod is a game-changer for making money because it’s the only rod that always gives your caught fish a special bonus. This bonus can multiply the fish’s value by 2, 3, 4, or even 5 times!
The best part? You don’t need any special skills or a lot of money to use it. New players just need some luck finding the rod in Sunken Chests.
However, the Auric Rod is incredibly rare. You have a very small chance of finding it in a normal Sunken Chest, and even in the special Mythic Chests, it’s still quite difficult to obtain.

- For easier catches: “Mystical” is best, and it significantly increases your resistance to having fish break free from the hook. “Resilient” will do if “Mystical” is not around.
- For faster fishing: “Hasty” is the best choice, dramatically increasing your lure speed. “Swift” is a solid alternative if “Hasty” is not an option.
How to Get Auric Rod
Keep an eye out for a special message! Sometimes, you’ll see a message pop up saying something like, ‘Sunken treasure has appeared near [Island Name].’ This means a group of special underwater chests have spawned near that island.
Finding the Rare Auric Rod
- Sunken Treasure Chests: You can find the Auric Rod by opening special treasure chests that appear underwater in the game. These chests are part of a new event that happens every hour.
- No Sundial Totems: Unfortunately, you can’t use special items to make these chests appear more often, unlike in previous events.
- Keep an Eye Out: Watch the top of your screen for a message announcing that Sunken Treasure has been spotted near a specific island.
- Hunt for the Chests: Once you see the message, quickly get in your boat and sail to the marked location. You’ll find 3-5 glowing chests floating on the remains of a sunken ship.
- Open the Chests Carefully: Approach the chests and press the button to open them. There are two types of chests: Normal and Mythical. Mythical chests generally contain better and rarer items.
Focus on the Purple and Red Chests! These chests usually contain the best loot, so try to open as many of them as you can. Keep an eye out for the Auric Rod among the treasures!
