Entanglement Overdrive is one of the most powerful abilities you will be able to activate in Beast of Reincarnation. With the help of this ability, you can slow down time, which makes dodging, healing or dealing extra damage to your opponents much easier. Still, the game developers do not provide clear mechanics for this ability. How To Use Entanglement Overdrive
Entanglement Overdrive is one of the most effective combat skills in Beast of Reincarnation. Once activated, the ability allows you to slow down time for a few seconds, enabling you to dodge attacks, heal safely, or attack your enemies.
How To Activate Entanglement Overdrive
Before you can use Entanglement Overdrive, you need to fill the Entanglement Gauge during combat. Once the gauge is full:
- Controller: Press the left and right thumbsticks (L3 + R3) together.
- PC: Hold Shift and press the Middle Mouse Button.
When activated, time slows down for a few seconds, making battles much easier to manage.
How To Fill The Entanglement Gauge
Your Entanglement Gauge fills naturally while fighting. The fastest ways to build it are:
- Attacking enemies.
- Successfully parrying enemy attacks.
Your aggressiveness and accuracy during battles play an important role in getting Overdrive. The other efficient way to charge the Entanglement Gauge is through the ability to unlock the Entanglement Gauge Recovery skill for Emma. With this ability unlocked, the gauge will start filling up whenever Emma’s basic strikes connect with her opponents.
It is worth noting that blocking also affects the Entanglement Gauge. Choosing to block rather than parry results in using a part of the gauge to protect Emma from any attack. Therefore, it is useful to think twice about blocking and try parrying when possible.
Upgrading Entanglement Overdrive
As you progress through the game, you can improve Entanglement Overdrive from the Skills menu. There are a total of 5 levels to upgrade this skill to, and you will also find different branches that will further enhance the Entanglement Overdrive skill. These upgrades let you:
- Increase how long the slow-motion effect lasts.
- Expand the size of your Entanglement Gauge.
- Unlock passive bonuses, such as giving Emma a chance to instantly refill the gauge after defeating an enemy.
Each upgrade requires Skill Points, which you earn by defeating enemies. With each upgrade of the skill, you will require more Skill Points to unlock them. At the start, upgrading Entanglement Overdrive will cost just 15 SP to level it up from level 1 to 2, but this will increase in subsequent upgrades.
While upgrading this skill further, you can also inculcate Blade Art attacks. Blade Arts are obtained after defeating Nushi bosses, and the option to perform a Blade Art attack will appear after performing a normal attack. This will take up a bit of your Entanglement gauge’s power to activate and use it in battle. Blade Art attacks are faster, stronger, and more precise than your normal attacks.
