The Banner of Banners is one of the most important quests in Gothic I Remake. By completing this quest, the player will be able to create the mythical Ulu-Mulu, an object that will allow you to freely travel to the Orc territories without any attacks from these creatures. To create it, it is necessary to capture four rare animals and bring their body parts to Tarrok the Orc smith. This guide will show you every ingredient location, how to reach Tarrok, and the final steps to craft the Ulu-Mulu.
How To Complete The Banner Of Banners Quest
As you progress in the story, you will finally get a quest called Banner of Banners from an Orc Shaman. The task will be to make a legendary weapon called Ulu-Mulu, which will allow you to peacefully enter Orc territory. In order to do that, you will need to collect four rare monster parts and talk to Tarrok at the New Mine.
Swampshark Mother Teeth

Go to Swamp Camp and go to the edge of the camp next to the huge hollow tree. Go through the fallen tree and take a left turn. The Swampshark Mother can generally be found swimming around the little island there. Taking along a Lightning Scroll or spell will make the battle easy. After you defeat the Swampshark Mother, loot it for Swampshark Mother Teeth.
Great Shadowbeast Horn

From the Swamp Camp, take the road leading towards the close bridge. On your journey, there will be a cliff that resembles a snake’s head having a cave underneath it. Inside this cave, you’ll encounter the Great Shadowbeast, which you should defeat to acquire its horn.
Great Fire Lizard Tongue

Head southward to Orc territory from the Old Camp. You will find that there are several regular Fire Lizards in addition to one Great Fire Lizard that is much tougher than the regular Fire Lizards. While the regular Fire Lizards can give tongues, the quest wants the Prime Tongue of Fire, which is dropped by the Great Fire Lizard alone.
Troll Tusks

Go back to the spot where you visited with the Fire Mage before and get one of the Focus Stones. This will be the very same spot where the Troll exists as well. Kill the Troll and get the Troll Tusks.
Tarrok Location

With all of the four components collected, your next step is finding Tarrok, who is held captive at the bottom of the New Mine. Proceed to the New Camp and then head towards the New Mine through the road leading from the inn. Before you proceed to the New Mine, talk to Wolf and accept his quest for the Minecrawler Armour. You will have to collect 16 Minecrawler Plates. In the mine, you will need to go to the bottommost level. Go past the gate and keep going until you get to the bridge guarded by the Gomez soldiers. From here:
- Go straight ahead.
- Turn right.
- At the next ladder, turn right again and go down.
- Keep going through the tunnels, fighting off any Minecrawlers you encounter.
- Go down another ladder, passing by another group of guards on your way.
- Go even deeper until you get to the forge.
- Go up towards the forge, turn left and keep going.
- Eventually, you’ll be at a small pool with lots of Minecrawlers in it.
- Before getting to the water, turn left and go up the hill.
This path will take you to the prison area where Tarrok is kept. Talk to him and inform him that you have come on behalf of Ur-Shak. Tarrok promises his help and makes the Ulu-Mulu. According to the Orc tradition, however, he cannot give you the artefact until he loses against you in battle.
