The Rebreather drastically improves your ability to breathe normally by cutting off the depth related oxygen penalties. Unlocking and crafting one early turns hazardous deep exploration into manageable expeditions. This guide explains where to find the Rebreather blueprint and recipes so you can craft and equip a Rebreather fast before you even reach the lava biome.
Rebreather Blueprint Location
Head south from Lifepod until you reach the Great Jaw as shown in the above image, which is around ~100m deep from the surface level.
Then look for this huge wreck site at the location and you’ll be able to notice a small entrance to a colonist’s bunker which is marked in the above image.
Just past the entrance to the right, there is a rebreather that you can scan using the Scanner and you’ll unlock the blueprint for the Rebreather.
Crafting Rebreather
To craft the Rebreather, you’re going to need fiber mesh and system chips. You can craft the system chip through the fabricator along with the fiber mesh but crafting fiber mesh requires Strong Acid which is only craftable through the Processor.
Once you’ve the required resources, you can craft the Rebreather and it will be automatically equipped on your character. Now this allows you to dive deeper without compromising oxygen consumption.
