    Marvel Rivals Rank System

When you hit level 10 in Marvel Rivals, you can unlock the competitive ranked mode. It’s where the real challenge starts! You face other players in a possible multi-round battle. You’ll earn points for each win, which will rank you up and get you the notoriety needed in the world of ranking among other players. There are eight main ranks, but most of them have three sub-levels, making it feel like there are 20 different skill levels to conquer. So, get ready for some serious competition!

At the start of each new season in Marvel Rivals, everyone gets reset!

    • You’ll drop down seven ranks. For example, if you were in Diamond 1, you’ll start the new season in Gold 2.
    • If you finished the previous season below Gold 2, you’ll start back at the very bottom: Bronze 3.

This keeps the competition fresh and gives everyone a chance to climb the ranks again!

    How to Increase your Rank

Every 100 points you earn, you’ll move up to the next rank.

    • Winning matches earns you rank points, boosting your climb.
    • Losing matches costs you points, and losing too many in a row can make you drop down a rank.
    • Don’t worry though! You have a few “Chrono Shields” that protect you from demotions. But use them wisely, as they’re limited.

At the higher ranks, things get even more competitive. Be prepared for:

    • Rank Decay: If you’re inactive for too long, you might lose some of your rank points.
    • Hero Bans: Sometimes, you won’t be able to use your favorite heroes in matches, forcing you to adapt your strategy.

    Marvel Rivals Rank

Marvel Rivals has eight ranks to climb.

    • In the lower ranks, you progress through three divisions within each rank, making the climb more gradual.
    • At the very top, the two elite ranks ditch the divisions. Instead, your rank is determined by an “elo” system.

This elo system considers your performance in detail, ensuring that the very best players are accurately ranked and can continue to compete at the highest level.”

    • Bronze III, Bronze II, Bronze I
    • Silver III, Silver II, Silver I
    • Gold III, Gold II, Gold I
    • Platinum III, Platinum II, Platinum I
    • Diamond III, Diamond II, Diamond I
    • Grandmaster III, Grandmaster II, Grandmaster I
    • Eternity
    • One Above All

    Bronze

Every player starts their competitive journey at the very bottom: Bronze Division 3. You begin with zero rank points. As you win matches, you earn more points and climb the ranks. This is where you’ll truly learn the game – master the basics, develop winning strategies, and improve your overall gameplay. Of course, losing matches will cost you points. But these divisions are all about recognizing your progress, learning from your mistakes, and celebrating your victories!

    Silver

Silver is the next level after Bronze. It is where all the real learning takes place!

Players at this level are beginning to:

    • They are learning how to outsmart their opponents and work as a team.
    • Their skills are refined so that they’re consistent in gameplay and can respond to changing situations.

It’s at Silver where you really prove yourself as a competitive player and contribute to the success of your team.

    Gold

Here, the level of specialization comes out among the players. They take it to mastery and try mastering particular heroes to understand their abilities, weaknesses, and how one would beat them.

You will also spot players trying novel advanced strategies

    • Team composition: Picking heroes that synergize well.
    • Counterplay: Developing strategies to counter your opponents’ moves.
    • Quick decision-making: Making smart choices under pressure.

All of this requires a deeper understanding of the game and excellent communication with your teammates.

    Platinum

Reaching this rank is a huge achievement!

    Players at this level show:

    • Incredible teamwork: They seem to gel so that whatever the enemy is throwing against them, they adjust.
    • The key is concentrating on team success: They are not playing for themselves anymore, but they know that winning as a team is the victory.
    • Advanced tactics: They use their experience to outsmart their opponents and pull off some pretty impressive plays.

It’s very clear that these players know the game like the back of their hand and are a force to be reckoned with.

    Diamond

Reaching Diamond rank is a testament to true mastery.

    These players are:

    • Hero experts: They’ve perfected their skills with their chosen heroes.
    • Teamwork champions: They understand the importance of every teammate and how to work together flawlessly.
    • Strategic geniuses: They think several moves ahead, anticipate their opponents’ actions, and make incredibly precise plays.

Diamond players are the backbone of the competitive scene. They’re the best of the best!

    Grandmaster

Grandmaster is the ultimate pinnacle of competitive play.

Only the crème de la crème can achieve this legendary rank.

To attain it and sustain it, you need:

    • Peerless skills: You must be a master of your chosen heroes.
    • Extensive game knowledge: You must know every detail of the game inside out.
    • Ice-cold nerves: You must be able to deliver at your peak in high-pressure situations.

The grandmasters are definitely of a different class. They exhibit superb team spirit, adaptability, and skill levels that are truly phenomenal.

    Eternity

Eternity is the first of the two top-tier ranks in competitive gaming.

Reaching Eternity means you’re among the absolute best. These players:

    • Possess incredible control: They have masterful control over their characters and the game itself.
    • Are strategic geniuses: They constantly come up with new and innovative strategies.

In Eternity, your rank is determined solely by your “elo” score. This score reflects your overall performance and how you stack up against other top players.

    One above all

This is the absolute pinnacle of competitive play – the highest honor you can achieve.

Reaching this rank is incredibly rare. You need:

    • Unbelievable skill: You must be a master of your craft.
    • Strategic brilliance: You need to outsmart even the most skilled opponents.
    • Unwavering dedication: You need to dedicate countless hours to honing your skills.

This rank is a testament to your extraordinary talent and unwavering commitment. You’ve proven yourself to be one of the best in the world.

How Team-Ups Work in Rank System

When you team up with friends in Marvel Rivals, the game tries to match you with opponents of similar skill levels.

    • Lower Ranks: If you’re in Bronze or Silver, you can team up with friends in either rank, and you’ll face opponents who are also in Bronze, Silver, or Gold.
    • Mid-Tier: If you’re in Gold, you can team up with friends in Gold, Platinum, or Diamond, and you’ll face opponents within those ranks.
    • Elite Ranks: At the very top (Eternity and One Above All), you can only team up with other players in those ranks. This ensures fair and challenging matches for everyone at the highest level of competition.

    Marvel Rivals Rank System Rewards

Here’s what you can earn during Season 0:

    • Golden Moonlight Moon Knight Costume: Reach Gold 3 or higher during the season.
    • Silver Crest of Honor: Reach Grandmaster 3 or higher during the season.
    • Gold Crest of Honor: Be among the top 500 players (in the One Above All tier) at the end of the season.

These rewards (except for the Gold Crest) are based on your highest rank achieved during the season. So, even if you drop down in rank later, you’ll still get the rewards for your highest point!
