Building a Tadpole Vehicle in Subnautica 2 turns short, risky dives into safe, long range exploration. This guide walks you through locating the Tadpole fragments to unlock the blueprint, setting up a Moonpool and Vehicle Fabricator in your base so you can craft your first vehicle and start exploring deeper biomes with oxygen storage and protection.
Obtaining Tadpole Blueprint

You can obtain Tadpole blueprint by scanning 3 fragments of tadpole. The first fragment can be found in a wreck just past the welcome center, the second fragment can be found along the great jaw and the third one can be found at the northern part of the plateaus which is north of Lifepod.
Building Tadpole Vehicle
To start building your first vehicle, you’re going to need to build a moonpool first and set up the vehicle station by building a dock station and vehicle fabricator.
Building Moopool

You can build Moonpool using the habitat builder inside your base, make sure to have a lot of space for the vehicle station.
Building Tadpole Dock & Vehicle Fabricator

You can also build Tadpole Dock and the Vehicle Fabricator inside the base, also they must be built attached to the moonpool.
