How To Get Hewn Stone
Hewn Stone is a simple building resource that you will have to craft a lot in the future. It can be crafted at a Workbench, but ensure that your Workbench is Level 3. In order to get to this resource, you need to be at least in the Cursed Swamps biomes.
When you explore the biomes, keep an eye out for Ancient Scraps. When you collect Ancient Scraps, the recipe unlocks automatically. Once the recipe is unlocked, you will only have to go to the Level 3 Workbench to create 1 Hewn Stone using 3 Stone resources.
How To Get Ancient Scraps
If you want to collect Ancient Scrap, you will first need access to the Cursed Swamp region. This area unlocks after you defeat the Foothills boss, Israel Hands. After defeating him, you only need to follow the story quests and wait for the Forgotten Relics quest, which leads you directly to the Cursed Swamp area on the map.
When you arrive in the swamp, start exploring unmarked areas as well as ruins. You will come across Ancient Debris, which is what you need to mine to get Ancient Scrap.
