Ancient Scraps are one of the resources you will start needing once you move into the mid-game of Windrose. At first, it might not be very clear where to find them or what they’re actually used for. But once you reach the Cursed Swamps, they quickly become an important part of your progression. You will use them to unlock better crafting options, upgrade your stations, and create stronger materials for gear. In this guide, we will show you how to find Ancient Scraps.
How to Get Ancient Scraps

If you want to collect Ancient Scrap, you will first need access to the Cursed Swamp region. This area unlocks after you defeat the Foothills boss, Israel Hands. After defeating him, you only need to follow the story quests and wait for the Forgotten Relics quest, which leads you directly to the Cursed Swamp area on the map.
When you arrive in the swamp, start exploring unmarked areas as well as ruins. You will come across Ancient Debris, which is what you need to mine to get Ancient Scrap. Make sure you bring an Iron Pickaxe, you won’t be able to harvest it. Each debris node can give you a decent amount, so it’s worth checking every spot you find.
How to Use Ancient Scraps

Ancient Scraps will be one of the resources that you will start using when you reach the Cursed Swamps zone. They not only provide you with new discoveries but also make it possible to craft certain things, such as Mire Metal Smelting, Blacksmith Bellows, and Jeweller’s Table upgrade.
As you progress, Ancient Scraps help unlock several key crafting stations and upgrades, including the Large Smelting Furnace, Bellows, and the Jeweler’s Bench. These are all important for improving your gear and crafting better materials. One of the main uses of Ancient Scraps is crafting Mire Metal Ingots, along with other materials like Hewn Stone.
