A yawning chasm carved by time splits the land, its sheer walls lined with weathered columns and drifting motes of light. Step carefully, narrow ledges will test your footing and wit. Follow the environmental clues to find the true solution to solve the challenge and get rewarded with an Abyss Artifact.
Ancient Rift Maze Location
This maze is located in the Ancient Rift area in Pailune as shown in the above image. This maze is solved by using Focus Light on pillars which are scattered around the area to open hidden rooms, where you can obtain Engraved Stones.
Obtaining all Engraved Stones
I would recommend taking the position exactly where I am as shown in the above map because it’s called the Maze challenge for a reason and the marked spot is the first hidden room we are going to visit.
If you are at the position where I am, you should see the glowing pillars if you look down right from the edge. Make your way to the pillars.
Use your Focus Light skill on the marked pillar stone, this will align all the pillars at the same height and it will open the door. Head inside and you’ll see a large button like structure, use Force Palm skill on the button to obtain the Engraved Stone.
You need to collect 2 more engraved stones to solve the maze challenge.
To obtain the second Engraved Stone, come outside the room and look to your bottom right, you should be able to see another set of pillars with glowing stones. If you are somehow lost, don’t worry as I’ve also attached the image above of the exact location where you’ll find the hidden room.
After you’ve reached the door, use Focus Light on the first pillar to the left and hold it for a few seconds. Same as before, press the large button inside to obtain the Engraved Stone.
For the third Engraved Stone, the door has six pillars. And since I’ve already found an alternate route, I didn’t bother solving the door combination but for what it’s worth, you have to use focus light on the both edge pillars to get the door open. To get to the alternate route to the 3rd stone, come out of the room and make your way up on the right side as shown in the above image.
After that, if you look around you should be able to see a path that leads up. I’ve marked the path in the above image in case of any confusion. Make your way up following the marked path, you’ll reach the place where there’s a large hole in the ground.
Go down below through here and you’ll reach the third Engraved Stone. Unfortunately you’d have to go out the same way you came in, this is easy if you use Aerial Force Palm and Axiom Force to pull yourself up or you can try to solve the door combination from inside.
Now go near the question mark that appears on the map, you’ll enter the maze challenge area. You can see that there are 3 slots, you’d have to place in the 3 engraved stones that you’ve collected. This will complete the Ancient Rift Maze Challenge and you can collect the Abyss Artifact.
