The Icy ruins on Five Finger Mountain test your cold resistance, patience and optimal puzzle intuition with moving stone platforms. The Five Finger Mountain Icy Ruins is one of the ancient ruins in Pailune regions in the Crimson Desert. This guide provides a concise, step by step solution to solve the puzzle and claim the Abyss Cresset – the reward for solving the ancient ruins puzzle.
Where is the Five Finger Mountain Icy Ruins Puzzle Located?

Head to this location on the map shown in the above image which is due far west to the Pailune city, you’ll reach the Five Finger Mountains Icy Ancient Ruins.
How to access the puzzle?

You can see a big pool of fragile ice at the center, you need to break the ice using turning slash skill. This will break the ice and you should be able to see the puzzle that you need to solve but it’s underwater.

To drain the water from the puzzle, if you look at the side of the pool which looks like a drain path for the water, you could see that the drain path is blocked by ice, use your turning slash skill again to break the ice and this should drain all of the water inside the puzzle.
Five Finger Mountain Icy Ruins Puzzle Solution

Solving the puzzle is relatively simple, you just need to move the stones in such a way it forms a complete image but as you can see, there are no handles that can be used to pull the blocks. You’d have to use stab skill on the blocks in order to move them. This puzzle is simple but it is very annoying because these stones are heavy and take a lot of stamina to push in place and there’s just too many of them.

After spending a gruesome amount of time in slow mode, I finished an entire movie by the time I pushed these blocks in place ( just kidding, it’s slow, not that slow ) and the end result should look like this.

After you’ve finished the puzzle, the hidden chamber under the big ice dragon’s effigy will unlock and you can claim the Abyss Cresset. You can use these abyss cressets to upgrade your character skills.
