Memory Chips Explained in Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5

Chapter 5 offers a Progression Mechanic wherein you have to collect 3 different types of Memory Chips to put into a memory machine. The three different types of Memory Chips can be found around the area and need to be inserted into terminals that connect to the Memory Machine. You need to view all three of the memories contained in your memory pod before the code for entering the next part of the chapter will be accessible through the memory machine.
The First Memory Chip

The initial placement of the first chip is deliberate and serves to inform the player of how to use the system. Its location is on the ground in close proximity to the actual memory machine. This chip does not have a challenge attached to it. The chip can be picked up and put into the reader. No alteration is done to the content of the memory so that players have access to and can experience the memories naturally.
The Second Memory Chip

You must exit the memory room through the blue door and find your way down a corridor to reach the second chip. There is a puzzle room which you cannot bypass and will require you to work with a set of red valves.

Each valve is labelled with a symbol, and the correct order to turn on the valves is indicated by a different part of the room. Once you turn the valves in the right order, a lever will be available to allow you to clear the gas that prevents you from entering another area.

Following the depletion of gas, you will discover a damaged area in which it is necessary to utilize the GrabPack to unlock and gain access through a blocked door. The means of unlocking that door also provides a means to recharge the Conductive Hand with fire; that fire charge can then be used to create an explosion by igniting the gas through the use of a burner station.

The explosion will then break a window, providing access to another room which contains a ship model; the second Memory Chip can be found within that same room.
The Third Memory Chip

The Conditioning Department contains the last Memory chip and can be accessed through a small passage near the memory room entrance. After entering, players must find a power supply to charge their Conductive Hand so that it can be charged with electricity.

To progress, players must activate several overhead projectors and watch all the movies in various rooms. As players complete room activations, new rooms will become accessible until finally, access to an area containing a fire charging station becomes accessible; allowing players to clear an obstruction blocking access to an upper office.
At this upper office, the third and final Memory Chip can be acquired from a desk inside the office.
Using the Memories to Get the Code

After collecting all three chips, go back to the memory machine. Insert the chips into their respective terminals, get inside the pod, and turn on the machine. The screen will then display a code after all of the memories are finished playing.
You will need to enter this code into the keypad behind the memory machine in order to progress in Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5.
