If you are not able to enter the altar in the Throbbing Domain in Mewgenics, you’re not alone. The game asks you to sacrifice one of your cats, but the solution is not correct. There is a hidden requirement to open it. In this guide, we will tell you how to solve the Throbbing Domain altar and unlock the boss of the area.
Throbbing Domain Altar in Mewgenics

After you finish the Wall of Flesh and Throbbing Artery puzzles, you will unlock a new area called the Throbbing Domain. When you first enter this place, it looks almost empty. There’s only a simple altar puzzle in front of you. If you interact with the altar, it tells you to sacrifice one of your cats.
Go back to the house and wait for Guillotina to appear for the third time. She shows up randomly as part of the house boss event. Once you defeat her for the third time, you will get Guillotina’s Head. Now start a new run and equip Guillotina’s Head on one of your cats. You will get a warning message, but go ahead and continue.
Make your way back to the Throbbing Domain. This time, when you interact with the altar, sacrifice the cat that is wearing Guillotina’s Head. If you’ve done everything correctly, the entire Throbbing Domain map will open up. Once it opens, you will be able to face the real boss of the area, the Throbbing King.
