If you’re looking to unlock the Wordless Grief Mask in Where Winds Meet 2.0, you’ll need to complete the A Voice from Afar exploration quest in the Hidden Mountain region. In this quest, you need to explore the Spiritroost Crag area, get three secret books and also complete the Wandering Tale called “Words Left Unsaid.” This guide will show you how you can unlock the Wordless Grief Mask and claim all of the quest rewards without missing anything.
How To Get the Wordless Grief Mask
The Wordless Grief Mask is acquired through the completion of the quest “A Voice from Afar”. First, you have to visit the Reflection Rise, and after that, head in the direction of the cave. Do not enter the cave yet, instead, make a right turn and climb the mountain. Then walk ahead to encounter an NPC. Speaking to this NPC, you will begin the quest called “A Voice From Afar”. First, talk to Xue Youzhi, who will ask you to disguise yourself to get into Spiritroost Crag.
Find The First Book
Teleport to the Spiritroost Crag Boundary Stone, where you need to take the stairs to the left that lead to the upper floor and keep following the quest marker until you come to a chamber full of shelves. The first book will be lying on the desk by the ladder, where Du Shijiu will be standing. Read the book, then head back toward the Boundary Stone.
Find The Second Book
Once you are at the Boundary Stone, make your way to the lower part of the Spiritroost Crag by crossing the bridge. Follow the quest marker all the way until you get to a workshop where you will see some mechanical wings on the walls.
Find The Third Book
Keep going after the quest icon to go through the tunnel, and you will see the last book in this sequence on a little table near two entrances. Reading it will finish up this step of the quest. Once you’ve read all three of these books, head back to Spiritroost Crag. As you exit, Ning Lin will tell you that the disguise is unnecessary anymore and will let you into Spiritroost Crag, but you’ll have to do another favour for her. From this point onward, you can freely enter the area without being thrown out by the NPCs.
Words Left Unsaid
The next step is completing the Words Left Unsaid Wandering Tale Quest. First, travel back to Spiritroost Crag and talk to Chen Mu. He can be found hiding inside the room near the table where you retrieved the third book. This must be completed before proceeding further.
After completing the Words Left Unsaid Quest, go back to Spiritroost Crag and talk to Ning Lin, who can be found with Chen Mu. Once Chen Mu leaves to do his business, talk to Ning Lin for the last time and say your goodbyes. Completing A Voice from Afar rewards:
