In the game, the Originium Science Park cannot be powered up easily as it has no direct connection to the main hub. Therefore, players have to finish a quest to get a unique solution from within the local area so that power can be unlocked for the Originium Science Park. The following guide describes how players can power up the Originium Science Park in the most efficient way possible, without wasting their time or resources.
Why Hub Power Won’t Work Here
Though the generators of the Central Power Station can be activated where they transmit energy to the immediately adjacent regions around the Central Power Station, the Originium Science Park is located so far from the station that accessing power from this source using nearby relay tower or link tower connections is not possible. Thus, it will be necessary that you develop some other way to supply energy directly to the Originium Science Park locally.
Unlocking Power via the Infra-Station Outpost
Before energy can be generated at the Science Park by players, they must first access Outpost Infra.
After the main goals of the region have been completed by Yvonne, players are able to start a side quest. Players will see a new quest in their respective quest logs (which can be accessed by pressing “J” on the keyboard or via the quest button on their screen) titled “Outpost Infra-Station.”
It will be very important for players to complete Outpost Infra-Station, due to the fact that players cannot build another outpost at the Science Park without it.
Completing the Outpost Infra Quest
The quest Outpost Infra-Station will take you to the far right of the Science Park, taking you into the area with Infra-Station. Follow the objective markers and complete the short mission tied to this quest.
After completing this mission, you will be able to build an outpost in the designated location shown on the map, allowing the location to serve as your new local power station (or power station) for that area.
Supplying Power to the Science Park
If this is done properly, Originium Science Park will be provided with electrical power:
- Place your electric supply at your outpost.
- Bring the electric line uphill approximately 80 meters.
- Make all connections using relay towers
