For the “Toxic Tangle” in Grounded 2, developers have added the ability for players to battle the Broodmother once again. But the location of the Broodmother is not going to be an easy task to find. This guide will provide you with information regarding the new location of the Broodmother and how to access this boss through the completion of questlines. Additionally, it will also cover the basics on what players can expect while engaged in battle with Broodmother in Grounded 2’s most recent update.
How to Find the Broodmother
With the recent update to Grounded 2, players now have the chance to battle the Broodmother, but they will have to follow a series of requirements before they’re able to face her in combat. This also includes completing an extensive questline to reach her.
Following the main storyline is what’s needed here as opposed to searching throughout the yard. Currently, there is no way to summon the Broodmother or find her freely.
Steps Required to Unlock the Fight
Initially, you will speak with Sloan, who assigns you a task to address an obstruction behind a door. After you accept this task, she sends you out on a quest to locate a seed in the greenhouse. Once you discover the seed, you will be required to plant it in the middle within the greenhouse. The final step is maintaining the newly planted seed’s health by enabling the power and misters.
To repair the misters, you will have to repair the Water Man using a Tier 2 repair tool. You will need to patch any holes in the hoses and locate the appropriate hose sprayer nozzles for installation.
Power is restored separately by locating power conduits within the Pumpkin Patch area. Once power is restored, you follow through the scarecrow sequence until you return to the greenhouse. When everything is finished, you will be able to turn on the SCA.B 2K scanner in the greenhouse; doing so completes the access sequence for the Broodmother fight.
What to Expect From the Fight with Broodmother
Once you have unlocked access to the encounter you can engage in battle against the Broodmother. Be prepared that it will be a tough battle as you will be up against not just the Broodmother but the Mysterious Stranger as well.
This battle is similar to the battle against the Broodmother in Grounded 1; however, there are some different things you should expect from this battle, such as the use of Tang. The use of Tang will enable the Broodmother to not only inflict damage on you but also to destroy your weapons and armors; also, the battle with the Broodmother takes place over various phases.
There are points in your encounter where you will face both foes simultaneously. Be certain to Peep the Mysterious Stranger and the Broodmother, which is listed as an O.R.C. Broodmother.
