The hot springs found throughout Nioh 2 are primarily locations for healing during combat and also provide a place to rest. Hot Springs Overview
In Nioh 2, players can find Hot Springs in secret locations during missions. Hot Springs can help players regain health and prepare for difficult challenges. When a player rests at a Hot Spring, they regain their health and get a temporary HP regeneration effect. This is particularly useful in preparation for boss battles or tough enemies. There are 27 Hot Springs throughout the game; when all 27 Hot Springs have been discovered, the player receives the Spa Lover Trophy.

Hot Spring 1
The Beast Born of Smoke and Flames (Main Mission)
On the first floor of the Burning Great Forge, near the mission objective, is a hidden wall with a passage behind it. Using a taunt gesture on the Nurikabe wall Yokai will cause the hidden wall to appear and allow access to a pathway that will take you straight to the Hot Spring.
Hot Spring 2
The Viper’s Sanctum (Main Mission)
The Hot Spring is situated in the western inner area beyond the second Kodama shrine. On the way there, you will come across a Gaki, an Enki, and an Aberrant Soldier guarding the path.
Hot Spring 3
The Hidden Monsters of Okehazama (Main Mission)
Once you reach the third shrine of the Dark Realm, you will find a one-eyed Oni, head west from there. After you defeat some of the Imagawa clan soldiers, you will come across a Nurikabe Yokai on your left next to a seated soldier. This is where you will find the hot spring that is hidden away.
Hot Spring 4 – 5
The Mysterious One Night Castle (Main Mission)
The first Hot Spring is located just outside the fort’s inner section, placed between the fort’s exit and the trail that leads into a forested area.
The second Hot Spring is hidden within the forest near the mission objective and the shortcut that returns to the starting area. Look behind the small hut to find it.
Hot Spring 6 – 7
The Hollow Fortress (Main Mission)
For the first Hot Spring, start from the second shrine, climb the ladder positioned right beside it. At the top, you’ll see two narrow stone walkways marked by yellow crystals. Take the left-hand path and follow it all the way up until you reach a rocket-arm enemy standing with his back turned. At this spot, look for a concealed wall. The Hot Spring is hidden behind it.
The second Hot Spring is also concealed behind a secret wall and lies along the route from the third shrine toward the boss area. On the level just below the boss arena, you’ll encounter another rocket-arm enemy. Break through the hidden wall nearby to access the spa, which can be especially helpful before the upcoming fight.
Hot Spring 8
A Way Out (Main Mission)
The Hot Spring is located shortly after passing through a temple area. A One-Eyed Oni guards this spot, and once you move past it, you’ll find the spa tucked away behind a small shack.
Hot Spring 9
Corpses and Ice (Main Mission)
Just before the boss arena, the Hot Spring is hidden behind a Nurikabe wall. After clearing the third Dark Realm, head down the slope where three soldiers block the path. Near the area where they stand, you’ll find a Nurikabe. Defeat it or use the correct gesture to reveal a concealed room containing the spa.
Hot Spring 10
Bird in a Cage (Main Mission)
At the third shrine, you’ll need to rotate the purple bridge so it lines up with the castle tower. After doing so, return to the first floor and go back to the room with the large spiders. Enter the room on the left and interact with the rotating panel. A gap in the wooden floor will allow you to drop into a hidden room, where you’ll find the Hot Spring along with the final Kodama for this mission.

Pervading Waters (Main Mission)
The Hot Spring is located close to the third shrine. Make your way to the temple near the garden and break the white wall to access the inner section. Just ahead, a Nurikabe wall blocks the way. The spa is hidden in the secret room behind it.
Hot Spring 12
The Frenzied Blaze (Main Mission)
Proceed beyond the Nurikabe wall inside the house near the friendly NPC who joins you. From the small house where a large chest was opened, take the right-hand path where you’ll encounter a Rokurokubi and a soldier wielding an axe. The Hot Spring is just around the right corner after them.

The Sun Sets on Mount Tenno (Main Mission)
This Hot Spring is found inside a cave beneath the innermost area of the fort, where the third shrine and the final Dark Realm are located. It’s easy to spot once you reach the area.
Hot Spring 14
Ruin Draws Near (Main Mission)
In the area around the second shrine, the Hot Spring is inside a room containing a bell guarded by a cannon soldier and an Aberrant Soldier. The spa itself is located in the room beyond the yokai enemy.
Hot Spring 15
The Two Faces of Hospitality (Main Mission)
Near the first shrine, head to the second part of the courtyard. On the right side, close to the watchtower, you’ll find a bathhouse. The Hot Spring is located inside.
Hot Spring 16
The High-spirited Demon (Main Mission)
After reaching the third shrine and defeating Hachisuka Koroku, move down the slope into an open field where a giant yokai attacks from a distance. About halfway through this area, a door on the right is guarded by a Magatsu Warrior within the mist. Defeating it rewards you with the Rusty Key, which opens the door. Inside, continue straight until you reach the roof, then drop through the opening to find the Hot Spring and a large yellow crystal.

The Mausoleum of Evil (Main Mission)
From the second shrine, pull the lever to rotate the bridges. Then climb to the top, enter the tower, and move around the side until you can jump out of a doorway onto the middle bridge. From there, head left to reach the Hot Spring.
Hot Spring 18
The Golden Castle (Main Mission)
After the second shrine and clearing the Dark Realm in the garden area, check the room on the right near the path leading to the Yatsu-no-Kami painting. A Nurikabe wall is inside, and the room beyond it leads down to the basement, where you’ll find the Hot Spring and a Kodama.
Hot Spring 19
Cherry Blossom Viewing in Daigo (Main Mission)
The Hot Spring is located on a walkway to the left of the temple near the third shrine. You’ll first need to destroy a rock within the Dark Realm to make a root bridge appear, connecting the temple to the platform where the spa is located.

A Song to Calm the Storm (DLC: The Tengu’s Disciple)
This Hot Spring is hidden behind the soldiers’ camp, near the second Kodama shrine and close to the door leading to the area’s mini-boss.
Hot Spring 21
Eternal Rivals (DLC: The Tengu’s Disciple)
At the lowest section of the cave, where scaffolding is covered by the Dark Realm, check the western side to find a Nurikabe wall. Behind it, inside a small cave, you’ll obtain the Hot Spring Chamber Key. Use this key to open the gate near the scaffolding, then proceed straight ahead to unlock the second gate that leads to the Hot Spring.
Hot Spring 22
The Shiftling’s Wise Judgement (Side Mission)
The Hot Spring is located in the same position as in The Mysterious One Night Castle main mission. You’ll find it hidden behind a shack near the boss area, close to the shortcut that leads back to the mission’s starting point.
Hot Spring 23
The Viper and the Butterfly (Side Mission)
From the starting location, follow the path downward and take the incline on the right. Just before reaching the top, look to the left to spot a Nurikabe wall. Using the Backflip gesture will allow you to pass without engaging it in combat. The Hot Spring is located in the room beyond the yokai.
Hot Spring 24
Immovable (Side Mission)
This Hot Spring appears in the same spot as in the main mission A Way Out. Near the second shrine in the forest outside the village, defeat the Mitsume Yazura to clear the Dark Realm. Once it’s gone, go to where the yokai stood and check behind the nearby shack to find the spa.
Hot Spring 25
Song of the Yokai (Side Mission)
The entire mission takes place inside a bathhouse with multiple Hot Springs scattered throughout. On the starting floor, there are two on the right and two on the left. Head up one level to find two more. The final two are reached after dropping down from a wooden beam, landing directly inside one of the hot springs as you make your way toward the mission objective. Be careful, as enemies are guarding these areas.

A Message From the Deceased (Side Mission)
Near the second shrine, clear the Dark Realm inside the nearby cave by defeating the Yazura yokai. Afterward, head up the slope where it was located and find a tree you can knock down. On the other side of the fallen tree, you’ll discover the Hot Spring.
Hot Spring 27
Shadows Creep in Kurama (DLC: The Tengu’s Disciple)
After passing the second shrine, follow the narrow path along the eastern cliffside. You’ll reach the back of a locked cabin and a yokai mist area where a Yoki appears. Beyond the mist, climb down the ladder to find the Hot Spring waiting at the bottom.
