Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora – Guide to Fishing

Fishing in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is easy to learn and very helpful. You can catch fish to use in cooking and get useful bonuses from meals. You can fish on land in lakes and rivers, or let your Ikran catch fish while flying over water. This guide explains both methods in simple steps, so you can fish without any confusion while exploring Pandora.

How to Do Fishing in Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora

To start fishing, you first need to find a fishing spot. These are usually in lakes or other water areas. When you get close, use your Na’vi senses to check if there are fish there. Once you find a spot with fish, you don’t need to aim at each fish one by one. Instead, look for water that’s bubbling or splashing; this shows the exact fishing spot. Aim at that bubbling water.

Use your bow or spear to hit the spot, and the fish will be caught automatically. After that, you can collect the fish and use them as cooking ingredients. Each type of fish gives a special bonus when used in meals, and rarer fish give better bonuses. Where you place the fish in the cooking slots also matters. Putting it in the first slot gives you the bonus, while the second slot decides how long the bonus lasts.

Aerial Fishing with Your Ikran

Once you bond with your Ikran, the Rider skill tree becomes available in the Skills menu. Spend a skill point to unlock Barrel Roll, and after that, you can unlock Aerial Fishing 1. With this skill, your Ikran can feed itself while flying low over water. As you put more points into the Rider skill tree, your Ikran will recover more energy and can even get a well-fed bonus from eating fish.

You don’t need to find fishing spots or do anything special. Just fly close to a river or water body, and your Ikran will automatically start catching fish. The fish only restores your Ikran’s health and energy; you won’t get any benefits from it. Also, if your Ikran already has full health and energy, it won’t bother fishing.
