In Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, changing how your character looks helps you feel more connected to your Na’vi. After the tutorial, you don’t have to stick with the default RDA outfit or appearance. This guide will show you how to change your look, where to find Changing Places, and how to unlock more customisation options as you play.
How to Change Appearance

To change how your character looks, you need to find a Changing Place. The earliest Changing Place can be found at the Resistance Headquarters. Fast-travel there, then turn right without going inside the main door. Walk forward a bit, and you will see it near the fire pit.
At a Changing Place, you can freely customise your character. You can change your face, hair, body type, voice, skin colour, and body paint. You can even completely remake your character if you want. Just remember, each gear piece can have either its stats or a cosmetic look applied, not both at the same time.
Unlocking More Customisation Options
As you explore Pandora, you will unlock even more ways to customise your Na’vi. Completing community contributions can reward you with new hairstyles, while face and body paints can be found at marked locations in the world.
All Changing Place Locations

Changing Places are only found in large settlements, not in small camps or outposts. You can find them at:
- Resistance Headquarters: Fast-travel to HQ, turn right immediately, and walk forward. It’s near the fire pit area.
- Hometree: Go to the upper floor and turn left right away. The Changing Place will be on the left or straight ahead.
- The Circle: Walk past the purple tent and enter the next tent. The Changing Place is inside.
- Resistance Hideout: Fast-travel to the hideout, take either staircase, and look for the Changing Place next to the orange door.
- The Hollows: Climb the stone stairs on the left, turn right onto the wooden ledge, and cross the bridge. Jump across to the room at the end to find it.
At each of these locations, the Changing Place works the same way and gives you full access to character customisation.
