The Meridian Skill is a useful ability in Where Winds Meet. It is a pressure-point strike that works best on enemies whose Qi is already restricted. When it connects, it can briefly freeze regular enemies and deal damage based on your Physical Attack plus a bit of bonus damage. If you break an enemy’s Vital Point first, this move becomes even stronger and also stops them from recovering Qi for a short time. Unlocking The Meridian Skill is pretty straightforward, but the quest has a few steps you need to follow. This guide walks you through everything you need to do to get the Meridian Touch skill.
How to Unlock the Meridian Skill
To unlock Meridian Touch, speak to the Wayfarer of Verdant Wilds. The quest marker will lead you to Qinghe, which is in the Heaven’s Pier and Stonewash Strand region on the northwest side of Verdant Wilds.
Head over to Moonveil Mountain. When you get there, look around until you find Yan Qiren. As you walk up to him, you will notice he’s completely frozen in place, almost like a statue. Finish the dialogues and use a special ability. The controls change depending on what platform you’re playing on. You will only have Meridian Touch temporarily for this quest; if you leave without finishing it, the ability goes away.
On the console, you can use Meridian Touch by holding R2 and pressing Square. You will get three options here: Overjoy, Itchy, and Immobilise. For this step, choose Immobilise. The other options aren’t pointless. You will need them later for different puzzles in future quests.
Meridian Touch Quest Bug
Sometimes, when you press the buttons to unseal Yan Qiren’s acupoint, nothing happens. This part of the quest can bug out. If you run into this issue, simply close the game and restart it. After that, it usually works properly.
