If you want to unlock the Ghost Bind skill in Where Winds Meet, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know. Ghost Bind is a useful mystic ability that lets you freeze multiple enemies at once, making it great for crowd control during solo play. In this guide, you will find an easy step-by-step breakdown of how to get the skill, how it works in combat, and what to do if the side quest needed to unlock it doesn’t appear in your game.
How to Unlock Ghost Bind Skill

To get the Ghostbind Mystic skill in Where Winds Meet, head to the southeast part of Kaifeng City. As you walk toward the alley, the Unwanted Hospitality quest should automatically appear.

Go through the alley, and an NPC will throw a rock at you to start the quest. Talk to the NPC in the window, and he will ask you to deal with three people standing on the other side of the building.

Just walk up to them and press R2 to use the Ghostbind ability, which will freeze all three of them in place. After that, a short cutscene will play where you also get paralysed, and the side quest will end. Once it’s over, you will receive the Ghostbind Mystic skill as your reward.
How to Use Ghost Bind Skill
Ghostbind lets you quickly dash in front of enemies and freeze up to six of them at once. It also deals some damage and breaks their vital points. Just keep in mind that it doesn’t work on strong enemies or other players.
This skill is most useful when you are playing solo and fighting groups of normal or mid-level enemies. Since powerful enemies and players can’t be affected, it’s mainly meant for clearing weaker crowds quickly.
Bug in Ghost Bind Skill
Some players have reported that this side quest doesn’t show up for them, even after trying different things. If it doesn’t appear for you, try fast-travelling to the entrance of the town or restarting the game. Then, approach the alley from the side where you can already see the three NPCs standing outside before you walk in.
