Unlocking Sword Horizon in Where Winds Meet is more than just learning the technique from a master. You will need to find a hidden shop located under Kaifeng and purchase a specific set of books that are rare. This guide will show you how to reach Ghostlight Market early, open it at the correct time, and grab all the items needed for your Inner Art.
Getting to Ghostlight Market Early
Ghostlight Market is directly beneath Kaifeng, but you will not need to unlock Kaifeng at all to access it. Travel to Riverside Station on the west side of Qinghe. As you walk into this village, you will see a few villagers and an old man by a bounty board. Accept the Bounty Trouble quest from here.
Taking that job will steer you straight into the March of the Dead questline, which naturally leads you to Ghostlight Market. After arriving, follow the main road, keep to the right, and a Boundary Stone will show up shortly.
There’s a snag, though: during March of the Dead, the entire market is shut down and choked in fog, with spirits roaming around. You can still get Sword Horizon—you simply need the marketplace to be open.
To fix the issue, open your menu (Escape/Start), look for the Clock icon on the right, and use the Wait feature. Switch the time to anything that isn’t the Mao hour, and the market will return to normal operation.
Meeting Horse Face and Entering the Antique Bookstore
Once time has been adjusted, travel back to Ghostlight Market using the Boundary Stone. Near the entrance stands Horse Face, who will hand you a Ghost Rat Mask. Put the mask on before you continue.
Walk straight down the market street. Keep going until you reach a second set of stone steps. Look to your left—you’ll spot an antique bookstore there.
Head inside and talk to the owner, Ni Laoshan, who you’ll notice perched on the ceiling. Open his shop menu and buy every Unknown Old Book he has in stock. Purchasing them all will cost 375,000 Coins.
After buying them, open your inventory and use all the books one by one. Doing so unlocks all 10 tomes tied to the Sword Horizon Inner Art.
