Our Old Bread Quest Guide in KCD2 Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC

In the Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, the “Our Old Bread” quest starts after you finish the second main quest, Anamnesis. In this quest, you will help Zacharias and his guard Denes, find more food for the sick people in the Infirmary. To do this, you will need to talk to Brother Cellarius in the kitchen. You can either help him and get the supplies peacefully or take them by force. This guide will show you step-by-step how to finish the quest.

Our Old Bread Quest

After finishing the second DLC quest, Anamnesis, you will wake up in the Infirmary. Talk to Zacharias, and he will suggest making a mask to protect yourself from the sickness. This will unlock two new quests, Prevention and Silent Witnesses. Before you go off to do them, talk to Zacharias again and choose the dialogue option with the quest icon: “Can I help you with anything?”

After that, speak to his bodyguard Denes, who’s also in the Infirmary. You will see a side quest icon once you’ve spoken to Zacharias. Choose the following dialogue options to start the quest:

  •  “I heard you’re having supply troubles.”
  •  “Maybe I could convince him.”
  •  “Talk him into it.”

Find and Talk to Brother Cellarius

Next, you need to find Brother Cellarius in the kitchen. When you talk to Cellarius, pick these dialogue choices for the best outcome:

  • “I hear you’ve got some disputes over supplies.”
  • “How much food is left?”
  •  “How about a trade?”
  •  “I will try and sort something out.”
  •  “Is there any other way to save more?”

There are two ways to finish this quest: Pickpocket Cellarius or knock him out and take his Sack of Supplies. Or you can complete his objectives, and he will hand over the supplies willingly, this is needed if you’re aiming for the Ostraconophobia trophy.

Find Cellarius’s spectacles

Now, for the next part, you will need to find Cellarius’s spectacles. They’re in a bird’s nest on top of the tree in the central courtyard. Stand under the tree and throw rocks (R1/RB/G) at the nest to knock it down. Aim slightly to the left of the centre since rocks tend to fly a bit to the right.

Loot the spectacles and the other items from the nest, as Cellarius will want them all. Return to Cellarius in the kitchen and give him the items by following these dialogue options:

  • “I’ve got your spectacles.”
  • “My pleasure.”
  • “There was more.”
  •  “So…?”

Then hand over the Die of Misfortune and Hungarian Florin to get the Sack of Supplies in return. You need to deliver raw crayfish to Denes. Then go back to Denes in the Infirmary.

  •  “I’ve got a book you might find useful.”
  •  “I got more food.”
  •  “I was catching crayfish.”

This will automatically give Denes the Sack of Supplies, completing the quest.
