In The Outer Worlds 2, the “Hazard A Gas” quest sends you on a scavenger hunt to collect 15 Compression Coils needed to repair the AutoDocs at Outpost Opportunity. The medic in charge can’t save her wounded soldiers without them, so it’s up to you to track down every coil scattered across the region. Here’s where to find all 15 Compression Coils step by step.
All 15 Compression Coils Locations for ‘Hazard A Gas Quest’
The Bishop of Matriarch’s Mercy will ask you to deliver a message to Outpost Opportunity. When you arrive, speak with the commanding officer. He’ll agree to pass the message along to his superiors but only if you help him with one of the major problems in his camp.
One of these tasks involves assisting the camp’s medic in repairing the AutoDocs to save injured soldiers. When you talk to her, she’ll tell you she needs AutoDoc Compression Coils to fix them. You’ll need to collect all 15 coils to complete this quest. Keep an eye out for green Auntie’s Choice drop pods each set of coils is found nearby.
1-2 Compression Coils
You can find the first two coils lying side by side on the ground near some crates, right next to the Matriarch’s Mercy.
3-5 Compression Coils
Head west of Alexandria Station. Look for a broken crate the coils are sitting nearby.
6-7 Compression Coils
Follow the tram rails all the way up to the Plateau. Once you reach the end of the tracks, you’ll spot the coils waiting there.
8 Compression Coil
Go near Scraper’s Den and check around the empty crates you’ll find one coil close by.
9 Compression Coil
Travel to the western edge of the map. There’s a crate there with a coil sitting next to it.
10-12 Compression Coils
Head to the northwestern part of the map. You’ll see a crate nearby with three coils placed beside it.
13 Compression Coil
Move toward the northeastern section of the map. Check around the crate in the area to grab this one.
14-15 Compression Coils
The last two coils are found near Fort Endurance. Be cautious here the area is affected by Zyranium Poisoning, so make sure you’re prepared before heading in.
