Stone Spire Hideout Altar of Reflection Location – Ghost of Yotei

The altar of Reflection at the Stone Spire Hideout is one of the more difficult altars in Ghost of Yotei. You will have to navigate a series of towers, ledges, and environmental clues rather than just jumping there to get to it. The strategy in this guide includes everything you need to know for each step (including the shamisen event) to get to the ladder and earn your skill point!

How to Locate the Altar of Reflection in Stone Spire Hideout

This altar appears to be close to the Stone Spire Hideout, and the ladder leading up appears to be unreachable. The answer is not that you jump straight up; it involves using the environment and a couple of corpses as markers.

Start by ignoring the main tower for now and head to the smaller tower on the left. Climb its series of ledges until you reach the top, where a corpse sits. From there, leap onto a nearby tree, then make your way across to some white wall markings. Continue climbing and grab the stump at the top.

Note: Altars of Reflection are found across Ezo and are key for enhancing Atsu’s skills. Each altar grants a skill point to upgrade her abilities or weapon mastery. Most are easy to spot, but the northern one in Yotei Grasslands poses a tricky challenge.

Next, follow the path around the column, hopping across branches and ledges. You’ll eventually come to a log connecting to another stone column, where you’ll notice another corpse.

Take a moment to examine the note attached to the stump, it suggests keeping quiet, especially when music is involved. Pull out your shamisen and play Atsu’s Song. This triggers a short scene where an angry figure (disguised as a bear at first) warns you to stay quiet.

After this, the ladder finally becomes accessible. Climb up, tackle some simple platforming challenges, and you can finally reach the altar. Bowing at the Altar of Reflection will reward you with a skill point.
