Tsuchinoko Location and How to Catch in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

In Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, one of the strangest and most secret creatures you can find is the Tsuchinoko. Unlike other animals, the Tsuchinoko is tricky because it doesn’t show up on your Motion Detector or Thermal Goggles, so you’ll need to be clever to track it down. This guide will help you find the location of Tsuchinoko and how to catch it.

Tsuchinoko Location in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

The easiest way to catch a Tsuchinoko is in Graniny Gorki South. Use your sonar to find and take out every other animal in the area first. Once they’re all gone, the sonar will still show something moving that’s your Tsuchinoko. Head to that exact spot, set a few mousetraps, leave the area, and when you come back, you should hear the trap go off.

Another good place to find one is in Bolshaya Past South, especially in the grassy patch near the tree trunk where you find the Desert Face Paint.

If you manage to catch a Tsuchinoko and hang on to it all the way until the end of the game, you’ll be rewarded with the Infinity Face Paint and the special Tsuchinoko Title when you start a New Game. On top of that, catching one also unlocks the “Believe It or Not” trophy, which is a silver trophy you’ll need if you’re aiming for 100% completion and the Platinum Trophy.

How to Catch in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

The Tsuchinoko is a rare snake you can come across in the game. What makes it tricky is that it won’t show up on your Motion Detector or Thermal Goggles, so you’ll need other ways to find it. The easiest method is to set up Mousetraps around the area and wait for it to get caught. You can also kill it if you want, and interestingly, when you shoot it, it makes a squeaking sound kind of like a rat.

Decided that degrees were as useful as extra lives in a Mario game-totally unnecessary! I’m diving into the extravagant universe of my favourite game, Assassin’s Creed, which lets me roam the world without actually paying for plane tickets. Hodophile by nature and aspiring to get lost in Hang Sơn Đoòng cave in Vietnam someday!
