In Once Human, butter isn’t something you can just pick up; you will have to make it yourself. It’s a handy ingredient for a lot of tasty recipes, but getting it takes a bit of work. You will need to hunt down the right materials, unlock the recipe, and do a little cooking. Once you know where to look and what to do, making butter is pretty simple. Here’s how you can get started.
How to Get Butter

If you want to make recipes like butter, you will need Deer Milk, and that means going after Eclipse Fawns. Getting Deer Milk isn’t easy though; it’s a rare drop, so you might have to hunt quite a few before you get lucky. The best place to look for Eclipse Fawns is in the Dayton Wetlands, around coordinates 7245, -4485. They’re pretty easy to spot in that area, so finding them shouldn’t be a problem. Just make sure you go in prepared, bring a good weapon, and try to move quietly.
Crouching helps a lot so you don’t scare them off. Once you finally collect some Deer Milk, you’re all set to start making tasty recipes like butter. Broken Delta Beach is an island you will find to the southeast of the starting area. It’s a great spot to visit because you will see plenty of deer roaming around, either right on the beach or just a little further inland. If you’re looking to hunt deer, this place is worth checking out.
How to Make Butter

To unlock the butter recipe, you will need to get the Integrated Kitchen memetic under Logistics Tier 4. Once that’s done, you can make butter using either an electric stove or a kitchen stove; both work just fine. To cook butter, you will need three units of milk. This can be either goat milk or deer milk. Just pop the milk into the stove and start cooking, and before long you will have yourself some fresh butter ready to use in your recipes.
