In this part of the mission, your goal is to track down and collect the strangelet capsule hidden in the Outer Steppes. It might sound tricky, but if you follow the marker and use the tools you’ve picked up along the way, you’ll get through it without much trouble. You’ll be fighting off enemies and solving a few small puzzles with Matterspark and Relocators. This guide will walk you through each section step by step, so you know exactly what to do, where to go, and how to do it.
Locate and acquire the strangelet capsule from Outer steppes
You’ll find this part by simply following the marker through the Matterspark tunnels. After riding the train, you’ll end up in a place on the map called The Stacks. Once you’re there, clear out all the Stasis and Strand Exiles in the area first. When the coast is clear, look straight ahead from where you first spawned in, and you’ll notice a hole in the ground. Jump down into that hole. Inside, destroy the two barrier generators you come across.
After that, use the Relocator Relay to teleport past the large natural wall blocking your way. From here on, pay attention to anything that needs to be charged with Matterspark and watch out for Relocators that can zip you around the area. Keep following the marker, and it’ll lead you exactly where you need to go.
First, remove the servitor and blow up the generator. After that, concentrate on the boss and eliminate them. To complete the job, gather your rewards after the battle and seize the strangelet. Don’t forget to speak with Drifter in Caldera if you haven’t already. Then proceed to the Altar of Relativity and finish it by placing the strangelet capsule there. Once that is finished, proceed to the Altar and retrieve the Outer Steppes Strangelet quest item.
