How To Use Backpack in Peak

In Peak, your backpack is one of the most important things you will use to survive. It helps you carry all the items you find on the island, like food, tools, and other supplies. But using the backpack isn’t simple. In this guide, we will walk you through how to find, equip, and use your backpack so you can stay prepared during your adventure.

    How To Use a Backpack

The first thing to know about the backpack is that it usually appears right in front of you when you crash on the island on the first day. To equip the backpack, just walk up to it and hold E if you’re on PC, then choose the “Wear Backpack” option. If you are using an Xbox controller, hold X, move the left stick down to highlight “Wear Backpack,” and press A to put it on.

To use a backpack, just interact with it. Once you open it, you will see five sections, two on each side and one with a backpack icon at the bottom. Whenever you want to take out or store items, you will need to place the backpack on the ground.

Be careful, though, if you drop it on a slope, it might roll away and become hard to reach. To pick it up, hover over the backpack icon with your mouse or use your controller to select it. If you are holding an item and want to store it, just interact with the backpack and place it in any empty slot. The same goes for taking things out.

This makes it pretty tricky to grab important items while you are in the middle of a climb. Keep in mind, carrying more items will affect your stamina; more weight means your stamina drains faster. If you notice your stamina bar is struggling because you are carrying too much, it is a good idea to drop anything you don’t need.
