Where to Pay Taxes Dune Awakening

In Dune: Awakening, building and maintaining a base is a key part of survival. If you want to keep your base safe, you’re gonna have to pay those taxes sooner or later. Ignoring them for too long will strip your base of its defenses, leaving it vulnerable to environmental hazards and opportunistic players. Here’s everything you need to know about how taxes work and where to pay them.

Step 1: Travel to a Tax Office

You can only pay your taxes at Arrakeen or Harko Village, the two main settlements with Tax Collectors.

    How to Get There:

    • Personal Ornithopter: If you’ve got one, this is the easiest and free option.
    • Taxi Ornithopter: If you don’t have your own vehicle, just swing by a Tradepost and grab a taxi flight for a fee.

First Taxi Access Point: The earliest Tradepost you’ll come across is Griffin’s Reach, located in Hagga Basin South. Make your way up to the Tradepost on the cliff and chat with the pilot hanging out in the northeast corner of the room.

    Taxi Cost: 2,500 Solaris

(And don’t worry—return flights to Tradeposts are free, even if you’re out of Solaris.)

    Step 2: Bring Enough Solaris

Before you head out, make sure you have:

    • Taxi Fare (if needed)
    • Tax Amount for each Sub-Fief you own
    • Extra Solaris (if you plan to shop or upgrade while you’re there)

    Step 3: Pay Your Taxes

    Where to Pay in Arrakeen:

    • Enter the building and head to the northwestern room on the ground floor.
    • You’ll find the Tax Collector behind a desk.
    • Choose to pay one Sub-Fief at a time or settle all Sub-Fiefs in one go.

Where to Pay in Harko Village:

    • Go to the southeasternmost room on the ground floor.
    • The setup is identical—speak to the Tax Collector and select your payment option.

    Why Paying Taxes Matters

Paying taxes ensures your base stays protected from:

    • Deadly desert storms
    • Looting by other players
    • System-triggered degradation over time

If your base falls into tax debt, you risk losing valuables and progress. Staying on top of payments keeps your territory safe and stable.
