How to Complete the Knockout Challenge
To finish this challenge, you must execute 5 dazed demons with Shield Charge.
Here’s how to do it:
When a demon gets damaged enough, it’ll have a purple aura around it, which indicates it’s dazed.
Under normal circumstances, you would press the normal button to execute it, but for this challenge, don’t use the normal execute.
Instead, press :l2: + :r2: to do a Shield Charge and eliminate them that way. Repeat this on 5 stunned demons to complete the mission and receive your reward.
How to Shield Charge in Doom: The Dark Ages
The shield isn’t just for blocking and parrying attacks, it can also be used to damage enemies. When you do a Shield Charge, your character dashes forward, hitting your target and hurting nearby enemies too. It’s a great way to move quickly through areas and take down groups of enemies faster.
Shield Runes are special abilities that boost the damage you do, depending on which rune you have equipped on your shield. To activate these powerful effects, you need to successfully parry using Hell Surge. So, getting good at parrying is really important if you want to deal the most damage possible.
Shield Charges can also break certain walls that block hidden paths or secret areas. So if you spot a wall that looks different or suspicious, try charging through it you might discover a secret.
