For the treasure hunt mission of Hal in Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, you can choose to do the quest that will enable you to discover the treasure hidden somewhere in the Northern Snowfield. Hal will direct you to search for the four mysterious wooden posts and then locate the treasure using their coordinates. Where to Find Hal’s Treasure
In order to start on the treasure hunt quest, approach the NPC who informs you of the strange wooden poles that are seen in the Northern Snowfield. This NPC is of the opinion that these wooden poles have been put up to indicate the place where there is hidden treasure.
On the basis of old maps, it seems that there used to be an inhabited area in this region in the time when Norgan was doing well. He has already tried digging near the wooden poles but has not found anything. He wants you to find out something from this area.
West Post Location
West Post is clearly visible when you approach its vicinity. Also, it has the smallest search area on your map, so it shouldn’t be hard for you to find it.
North Post Location
North Post can be found near some ruins that are patrolled by the Beorcan enemies. Be ready to fight against these enemies as you search the area for the wooden signpost.
South Post Location
In order to locate the South Post, one must go uphill from the Riftstone of the Beloved. The wooden sign is placed a little ways up the hillside, thus not being too difficult to locate once at the Riftstone.
East Post Location
The East Post can be found close to the impressive entrance of an old castle. Go towards the castle ruins and look for the last wooden post near the entrance of the castle.
Locating the Buried Treasure
Having collected all the wooden posts, go back to the NPC and present him with your map. He will check out their locations and try to figure out how they relate to one another. It might seem like a difficult task to understand at first, but the whole concept is about connecting the dots together based on their locations to see where they lead. While the NPC cannot figure out the mystery by himself, you can make it clear by discovering the location of the treasure. Follow the clues to find the buried item and bring it back for further investigation.
Identifying the Treasure
When you locate all four wooden posts, their positions will be marked on your map. In order to know the place where the treasure is hidden, you should make a line from the East post to the West post and from the North post to the South post. The point at which these lines cross shows the spot where the treasure is hidden.
Find the crossing point and search for a spot of snow that gives way to reveal a cave under it. Another way to go to the cave is to go there from the north via Snowslide Pass Cave. Get into the cave and go to the place where the lines cross. At this very spot, you will see the Rusted Ring. Collect it and return to Hal, who will enhance it and give you the Frostbright Ring and 20K Gold. The Frostbite Ring does as the name suggests, it prevents chilled status effects or stamina loss due to blizzards.
