There are many Mysterious Stranger guns as well as a very strong trinket in Grounded 2: Into the Abyss. However, collecting some of them is rather difficult because you have to go through hazardous regions, face powerful enemies, and have proper equipment. In this guide, we will show you where to find all the Mysterious Stranger weapons and the Crown Jewel trinket, along with the important items you will need to reach them.
Where To Find All The Mysterious Stranger Weapons
Weapons of the Mysterious Stranger can be crafted only at the Forbidden Workbenches, introduced by the Into the Abyss patch. One of those workbenches can be found near the Ranger Post statue.
Toenail Cutlass
To find the Toenail Cutlass, head towards the area around 29° North, 24° East. Find a small cave that lies near the cinder blocks and the corner of the pergola area. Go inside the cave and follow the directions of the Mysterious Stranger. The area is full of Tangled water.
Afterwards, you will go through the place of Raw Science. You will need Level 3 Clippers in order to pass through the barriers. You will continue passing through the cave until you reach the Gloom Room. Here, you will need a Level 3 Axe in order to get through the wall. The Toenail Cutlass will be found here. To craft the Toenail Cutlass, you will need Hyper Beam and Gold Foil.
Crown Jewel
The Crown Jewel is a lot more easily obtainable than the other trinkets. Proceed to 8° North, 8° East and start exploring the area’s crevices. There should be a Mysterious Stranger symbol located somewhere close by. Although you are able to climb up the region, be careful since there will be numerous enemies along the way. This trinket will be located on a table deeper into the region. To craft it you will need:
- 3x Phantom Quartz Shard
- 2x Gold Foil
- 2x Mighty Glob
Once equipped, the Crown Jewel will offer Smashing Attack ability, where your equipped smashing melee weapon will deal extra smashing attacks that scales with the attack power. Breaking your enemy’s blocks will deal additional smashing damage. This is perfect for players who enjoy playing with the mace or hammer.
Fellfeast
Search under the bridge at 18°N, 39°E for a rope. Go down along the rope until you come to the entrance to the cave. Make sure you take your Koi Fish Helmet or other diving gear with you to ensure that you have enough oxygen.
There will be some Diving Bell Spiders and a Toe Biter there. Make sure you have Level 3 Omni Clippers ready to cut through the wet roots. If you don’t have that, even the Toe Biter Buggy will be useful here.
After that, follow the underwater route using the diving bells. Finally, you will see an open place with a Toe Biter; defeat it, and you will find the Fellfeast in the corner.
To craft it you will need an Insulating Larva Spike and Hyper Beam. The Fellfeast has the Charged Life Steal ability, which restores HP whenever you use a Charged Attack.
Rime Rend
The location of the Rime Rend is located near the Hot Wheels track, at 19° North, -22° East. Look for the cave as you move up along the track. This area is very cold; therefore, prepare yourself before entering this area by equipping the fuzzy armor set and having the Spicy Safety consumable.
Fight off the Toe Biters and their nymphs. Use your bomb in order to blow away the wall blockage. Behind it, you will face another group of Toe Biters. Once you get through the fight, you can grab the Rime Rend.
To craft it, you will need Glacial Sting, Suspicious Mint and Gold Foil. This weapon is great for mage or magic players, as you will get get the following abilities with this weapon:
- Chilling Attack: Causes enemies to freeze.
- Critical Freezing: Frozen enemies will be dealt increased CRIT attacks and CRIT hit damage.
