What to Do With The Weird Pictos In Clair Obscur Expedition 33

In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, you will come across some unusual items called Weird Pictos. These mysterious collectibles aren’t immediately usable, but these items do have a purpose, but you’ll need to make some progress in the story. Here’s a guide on how to get the Weird Pictos and what to do with them later in the game.

How To Get The Weird Pictos

You can get one of the Weird Pictos early on by talking to Tom during the Festival in the Prologue of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. He’s easy to find just head down the festival area and look for the green stall on the left. Speak to Tom and trade him a Festival Token to get the item. If you move forward with the expedition and finish the Prologue without doing this, you’ll miss your chance to get it.

What To Do With The Weird Pictos

You won’t be able to use those strange pictos you’ve picked up in Expedition 33 right away. To unlock that feature, you’ll need to progress a bit through the story explore the first few areas, defeat a few bosses, and eventually make your way to the Gestral Village.

Once you get there, head into the bazaar on the left side of the village. Just near the entrance, you’ll see a merchant behind a counter chatting with a customer, that’s Jujubree. Talk to him, and you’ll be able to check out his shop. If you’ve picked up one of those weird pictos earlier in the game, this vendor might let you swap it for a new one that your characters can actually equip. This trade will get you a Level 5 Augmented Aim Picto. If you already have a lower-level version of the same Picto, it’ll automatically be upgraded to this higher level.

Decided that degrees were as useful as extra lives in a Mario game-totally unnecessary! I’m diving into the extravagant universe of my favourite game, Assassin’s Creed, which lets me roam the world without actually paying for plane tickets. Hodophile by nature and aspiring to get lost in Hang Sơn Đoòng cave in Vietnam someday!
