The Best Farming Spots in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time

Master all Life in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time with this best farming and leveling locations guide for Act 1. Whether fighting, mining, fishing, or crafting, you’ll have effective routes to level up quickly, maximize progress, and unlock full potential for all Life classes.

Leveling Up Tips for Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time

Whether you’re wielding a pickaxe, casting spells, or building equipment, leveling up your preferred Life effectively is critical to moving forward in the game. Here’s a complete analysis of how to level up different Life types, ranging from Gathering and Combat to Crafting.

Angler Life: A Chill but Challenging XP Route

Fishing is a slower Life to level, so bring patience—but these spots will help:

  • Level 1–5: Lake by the Woodcutting Guild

Two easy fish shadows to practice catching; good for beginner XP.

  • Level 6–7: Eternia Dock

Lots of fish, close together. You’ll breeze through a couple of levels here.

  • Level 7–11: Mysteria Capital Canals

Fish both outside and inside the walls. Catch Mysteria Koi to gain decent XP. With a bit of luck, you’ll be ready for the boss fish inside Banaan Cave.

Miner Life: How to Get Started and Farm XP Fast

Step-by-Step Progression:

1. Unlock Miner Life

  • Go to the Paladin’s Guild to activate the Miner Life.
  • You’ll get a basic pickaxe and either go through or skip the tutorial (recommended for first-timers).

You’ll get the Fledgling rank and a better gathering tool instantly.

2. Follow the Intro Quest

  • Beating the first challenge is excellent for grasping mining principles and rewards you with early XP.

Best Mining Spots by Level:

  • Level 1–4: Novice Miner’s Pit (Above Eternia Village)

Mine Copper Ore (Lv. 2–5). This location’s a portion of the early quest and makes you level up fast.

  • Level 4–8: Capital Outskirts

Go to the right of the Capital entrance for Lv. 7–9 Copper Ore. Southwest by the beach also has Lv. 6–8 nodes. Reset by moving in and out of the Capital gate.

  • Level 8–20+: Banaan Cave

This west-of-Capital cave is your grind spot for long-term. Mine whatever is inside, leave to reset, and do it again for maximum XP in Act 1.

Combat Lives (Paladin, Hunter, Mercenary, Magician): Where to Farm

Grinding enemies is what leveling a Combat Life entails. Here are the top spots to grind efficiently:

Top Training Areas:

  • Level 1–4: Eternia Village Beach

Two types of enemies—Tropic Toads and Tunoco Lizards—are easily respawned. Farm, leave, re-enter, repeat.

  • Level 4–10: Near Banaan Cave

Turtles on the beach are a cinch for XP. At night, target Red Wolves and Mini Spookys on the fields outside the cave.

  • Level 10–15+: Inside Banaan Cave

Early levels contain Proto Beetle Ballers. Later (north route), there are Lv. 11 Tunoco Lizards—collect them and use AoE moves for quick kills and quicker XP.

Woodcutter Life: Efficient Tree Chopping for XP

Beginner Zones:

  • Start at the Woodcutter’s Guild near Eternia Village. It’s safe and easy to practice your skills here.

Where to Chop Based on Level:

  • Level 5–6: Eternia Beach

Harvest Palm Trees along the coast. You’ll also need this wood later as a Carpenter.

  • Level 6–10: Capital Entry Area

Look for Oak Trees right outside the Capital. Chop down every tree you see to reach level 10.

  • Level 10–15+: Around Banaan Cave and Nearby Beaches

Palm Trees (Lv. 10–12) are easy XP. Higher ledges have Oak Trees (Lv. 12–15). These take more effort, but your Charged Cut and new skills will help push through.

Crafting Lives: How to Level Without Burning Out

The Smart Strategy:

  • Gather or buy materials

Use gold from fights or quests to buy what you need.

  • Grind mini-games until you unlock Auto-Craft

Check the skill tree (middle-upper nodes) for the Auto-Craft unlock after reaching Fledgling or Apprentice rank.

  • Mass craft using Auto-Craft

Make lots of items, sell them, then reinvest in materials.

  • Use Skill Points Wisely

Prioritize nodes that increase XP gains.

  • Push for 2-Star Recipes

After reaching level 8–10, start crafting higher-tier gear. You’ll need to play mini-games again for these until you unlock auto-crafting for them.
